We have 6 times the pop of Italy and South Korea, so if we have 6 times the death of South Korea before the curve straightens that's probably a win, if we have 6 times the deaths of Italy.... watch the fuck out. While number of deaths and death rate are stats. I am more concerned with who is dying.
If the people that are dying are elderly or compromised with immune or other health issues, then I would classify this along the lines as the Flu, pneumonia
as far as severity goes.
If we start seeing healthy people with no existing health issues starting to die then we have problems and this could be devastating..

One side is trying to paint this out like it's gonna kill everyone (CNN) the other side it's just the flu (FOX) Truth is somewhere in the middle. It is mostly sick and old people that are going to hurt that is truth. But imagine a store, and the business they do. Now imagine the amount of business they do in year tries to hit them in a day. They wouldn't be able to help everyone, and in the health sector this would create a domino effect. People that have other issues like cancer ect will be affected. It would be like everyone trying to get out of a burning building at once. This could get ugly, and what we're trying to do is spread it out. The people that are going to die, are going to die, but we can't have it happen on the same day, or it will affect other people. Is it worth the economic problems? IMO it's better to get the pain out of the way with, with economics rather than to wait.
Exponential growth is used when you have a fixed variable, ie a set interest rate. Nothing is fixed in these cases therefore it is folly to use exponential growth when determining future growth! Plus it is too small of a sample. Case in point, when I first started this thread there was 1 death in Canada, five days later there's 8. Using exponential growth means the death toll multiplies 8 times over a course of 5 days! Now if this was to hold true, Canada would cease to exist in less than 50 days!!
