Guesser I want you to think about this hard. Forget politics from your own POV. For Kerry it's all about politics. Now my claims and my question to you.
Israel is kicking the snot out of Hamas. The playbook for all of these wars is the Arabs, be it countries, terror groups like PLO, Islamic Jihad, Hamas in Gaza, Hezb in Lebanon (via Iran and Syria) attack Israelis. Purely out of religious hatred. With me so far? Good! Israel fights back. Israel starts winning. Horrible images of dead Palestinians are broadcast all over the world -- and don't be fooled, these same hospitals are also treating terrorist wounded and Hamas ferries terrorists in UN ambulances. Agents of the terrorists, the UN, the EU call for Israel to stop, or a "cessation of violence." Jewhate? Sucking the tit of Arab oil? Who knows why. It just happens, every time. There is a lull in the violence. The terrorists claim victory. Israel is attacked again.
Now here is what is happening now. Israel is winning. But there are cement fortified tunnels funded by us (not deliberately but aid money is stolen), Qatar and Iran, all who cumsplash themselves fantasizing of the death of all Jews. It is going to take time to destroy these tunnels, some of which end beneath Israeli kindergartens and restaurants. Israel just agreed to a 12 hour truce. I would not have! The Arab gum flappers are all yelling about Israel, spewing the propaganda that is ceaseless for 66 years, claiming it's now Israel's fault the truce is not longer, framing the discussion that Israel refused the US blah blah fucking blah.
Why are they upset? In a 7 day truce Kerry would call for Israel to stop fighting Hamas, stop destroying their tunnel terror infrastructure, allowing Hamas to claim victory. Hamas' cohorts would resupply them, and they would be able to reestablish their lines of communication. All the while stalling on real peace talks because they don't want peace, they want a pile of 7 million dead Israelis.
That is why Scott C is not far off. The fictitious 'international community' should do what it does everywhere else - nothing. Neither should Kerry. A cease fire helps the losing side. Neither Kerry or Obama are friends of Israel.
