[h=2]Last week, and while under oath, Attorney General Eric Holder testified before a House committee that when it comes to "try[ing] to prosecute the press for the publication of material" he has "never been involved in, heard of" such a thing. Watch below at the five-minute mark:[/h]--
--
Thursday, however, we learned that it was Holder who signed off on the application for a warrant to gain access to the private emails and phone records of Fox News reporter James Rosen. In doing so, Holder labeled Rosen a co-conspirator to obtain classified material under the Espionage Act of 1917.
Out of one side of his mouth, and while under oath, Holder says he has never heard of anyone trying to prosecute the press for publishing material. Out of the other side of his mouth, Holder is accusing reporters of espionage on applications for subpoenas.
That statement and that action are awfully hard to reconcile.
It is possible for Holder to say that the goal wasn't to prosecute Rosen for "publishing," but instead for espionage. The fact, though, is that all of this occurred after the Rosen story in question published. With even the Huffington Post calling for Holder's resignation, it is hard to see how he splits that is-is hair.

  • DOUGLAS SHULMAN, former IRS commissioner, visited White House more times than any Cabinet member, according to The Daily Caller analysis — particularly around the time the agency was targeting conservative groups.

A new Rasmussen Reports poll finds that only 25 percent of likely voters have a favorable opinion of Attorney General Eric Holder and 42 percent would like for him to resign.

The telephone survey of 1,000 likely voters conducted on May 29-30, also revealed that 47 percent of those polled have an unfavorable opinion of him.

[h=1]Interviews with IRS agent suggest Tea Party targeting came from Washington[/h] Published June 02, 2013
FoxNews.com

Interviews with an IRS field agent involved in the agency targeting Tea Party groups for additional vetting appear to contradict the White House assertion that rogue agents, not the administration, were behind the effort, according to partial transcripts released Sunday by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Former Florida Congressman Allen West (R) said he “absolutely” agrees that all options — including impeachment — should be up for consideration for President Barack Obama.
West, who lost his bid for re-election in November, told Florida blog The Shark Tank that he agrees with a previous statement from a Republican lawmaker that “all options should be on the table.”
West was referring to Obama’s actions during the deadly Benghazi assault in September, and suggested that President Richard Nixon resigned for a lot less.
“We did something that is the most heinous thing that can ever happen, we abandoned Americans while they were under attack, you know that’s right up there to ask someone, maybe you should not be the president. Guess what, Richard Nixon stepped down over breaking and entering,” West said.
Last month, Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), the top Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, called Benghazi the “most egregious coverup in American history” and said “we may be starting to use the I-word before too long.” Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) has made the suggestion as well. In January, Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas) brought up impeachment if Obama tried to muscle through new gun control legislation.
Republican strategist Karl Rove warned the GOP last week not to start with the impeachment talk, saying congressional Republicans should remain focused on investigating the multiple scandals hovering over the White House.
