"Cruz is caught in a political double standard of his own making. “Sure, it’s about following the law. The law he says is unconstitutional," she writes. "Somehow I don’t think the rabid tea party voters – or his fellow crazy candidates – are going to approve.” - Daily Kos

Of course it's "of his own making" face)(*^%

Lay aside the obvious point that there's no inconsistency or hypocrisy in obeying a law you oppose. Are libtards at thinkprogress, moveon.org and Daily Kos really so stupid they don't see why Ted Cruz is doing this?

Ted Cruz isn't the first Obamacare-hating Republican forced into Obamacare, and he won't be the last.

Then candidate for the Senate, Rep Cory Gardner, repeatedly whined to voters about being forced to dump his family health plan because it didn't meet Obamacare's standards. Why didn't Gardner simply take the unique coverage available to him as a member of Congress? Because that would have cast him as yet another out-of-touch elitist hypocrite voters couldn't relate to.

*spoiler alert*

Gardner won.

Ted Cruz ("man of the people") feels your pain America: OBAMACARE SUCKS - IMAGINE A PRESIDENT THAT REPEALS EVERY WORD! :ok:

Bunch of braindead retards.

Does Cruz have another option here? If we're suddenly permitted to simply ignore laws we don't like, then I guess I can start with just saying fuck you to the IRS instead of paying the huge bill I have due in a few weeks.

Then again, doing whatever they please seemed to work just fine for Hillary and the Stuttering Clusterfuck. Guess I should get down to the local DNC offices and register as one. Maybe even twice.

Fox News contributor says 9/11 was God’s punishment for abortion

Pastor Robert Jeffress tells Liberty University that America had it coming VIDEO

Luke Brinker Fox News viciously savaged Barack Obama after it emerged that his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright, had once thundered that the September 11 attacks were “America’s chickens … coming home to roost,” citing past U.S. human rights violations. So surely the network will roundly condemn Robert Jeffess, a Fox contributor and prominent evangelical, for telling Liberty University students on Tuesday that the attacks were God’s punishment for abortion.
“All you have to do is look in history to see what God does with a nation that sanctions the killing of its own children,” Jeffress said, speaking at the Jerry Falwell-founded university’s convocation. ”Just look at the nation of Israel … Because they got involved in the worship of Moloch, the pagan god, and they sacrificed their children on the altar, what did God do? He raised up the godless Babylonians and Assyrians to bring judgement on his own people.”

Jeffress continued: ”People ask me all the time, ‘Well, I just don’t understand why God wouldn’t protect our nation and he would allow these radical Muslims in 2001 to kill 3,000 of our citizens and why God doesn’t protect us. Surely, God doesn’t use pagans to bring judgment upon his own people, does he?’”
“Just read the Bible,” he said. “God will not allow sin to go unpunished and he certainly won’t allow the sacrifice of children to go unpunished.”
Falwell also considered 9/11 divine retribution for abortion, additionally blaming gays and lesbians, the American Civil Liberties Union, and the liberal group People for the American Way.
Jeffress’ remarks continue in his long tradition of inflammatory rhetoric. He has previously asserted that gay people are paving the path for the anti-Christ and urged Christian conservatives not to vote for the Mormon “cult” member Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential primaries. After Romney claimed the GOP nomination, however, Jeffress endorsed the former Massachusetts governor.

A Southern Baptist pastor by training, Jeffress is already being courted by likely 2016 presidential candidates. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul recently met with Jeffress ahead of an expected campaign announcement next month.

Another Democrat shit-stain.

Washington (CNN)Federal prosecutors are expected to charge Democratic Sen. Robert Menendez on Wednesday with using his Senate office to push the business interests of a friend and donor in exchange for gifts, people briefed on the case say.

The case, brought by the Justice Department's public integrity unit, sets up a high-stakes battle between a New Jersey senator who has fought off investigations for years, and federal prosecutors and the FBI who have spent years pursuing him.
Federal officials and Menendez's attorneys have discussed plans for the New Jersey Democrat to turn himself in before a planned court hearing on Thursday, according to people briefed on the case.

[h=1]Timeline Puts Lie To Obama's Story About Bergdahl[/h]48 Comments

03/31/2015 06:48 PM ET

[/COLOR]

Betrayal: The Obama regime still insists that releasing the top command of our enemy was all about saving Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. But several reports from 2012 reveal that it was secretly negotiating the Taliban Five's release without Bergdahl.
Now that the Army has filed desertion charges against Bergdahl, the administration is under increasing pressure to justify the bad deal. Astoundingly, it's sticking to its story that President Obama only freed the high-risk Gitmo detainees to free a "POW."
"This was about bringing home an individual that had served his country," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said last week about the 2014 swap.
But IBD has uncovered a series of credible reports from 2012 — as well as a transcript of a candid press conference by then-Afghan President Hamid Karzai — that show the White House originally wanted to give up the Taliban commanders under just one condition: that the Taliban open a political office in Qatar "to conduct peace negotiations." It was Qatar that ended up taking the prisoners.
Bergdahl, who walked off his post and into the arms of the Taliban in June 2009, wasn't even part of the negotiation back then. The original deal was a one-sided release, naked any trade for a "POW" or "hostage" or soldier who allegedly had served "with honor and distinction."
Consider this timeline:
January 2009: Obama signs executive order calling for Gitmo to be shuttered within a year, while his national security team considers if the five Taliban leaders are safe for release.
2011: White House and State Department officials open secret talks with the Taliban in Germany and the Persian Gulf to discuss their release from Gitmo as part of "peace talks."
Jan. 3, 2012: The Taliban announce they are prepared to open a political office in Qatar to conduct peace negotiations in exchange for the release of the Taliban commanders. ("The releases would be to reciprocate for Tuesday's announcement," according to "The Guardian.")
April 2012: Working with the White House, Karzai sends delegation of Afghan government officials to Gitmo to interview the Taliban prisoners and secure their oath to cut ties with al-Qaida.
("On the issue of the release of the Taliban prisoners from Guantanamo, we are fully in support of that," Karzai says during a July 9, 2012, visit to Japan. "If they wish to go to Qatar, we want them rejoined with their families.")
Karzai signed on to the deal because he thought it would buy peace and goodwill with the Taliban, which threatened to retake Afghanistan.

Fewer than two-thirds of Americans are working or looking for work, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports. The labor force participation rate last month was 62.7 percent, as low as it’s been since the Carter administration.
“This is a measure of everybody who could be in the work force, who is in the work force, and the fact that it’s so low says that there remains a sizable chunk of the labor force that simply isn’t working or looking for work,” The Wall Street Journal explains.
The BLS says the American economy added 126,000 jobs in March, far fewer than the 243,000 that had been forecast. “It’s definitely a disappointing report,” Jeffrey MacDonald, Director of Fixed Income Strategy at Fiduciary Trust Company International, tells USA Today. “It really was under any estimate you could find.”
In addition, BLS revised its job growth numbers from January and February downward by some 69,000. The unemployment rate remained at 5.5 percent.
Stock markets are closed for Good Friday, but futures trading plunged on the weak economic news.
Economists at the Atlanta Federal Reserve aren’t surprised. They just dropped their growth forecast for the first quarter to zero, down from the 1.9 percent growth they had been predicting. Despite lower gasoline prices, consumers simply aren’t buying, the Atlanta Fed explains.
