I always loved this picture from Katrina, still do

I remember a reporter in New Orleans was at the Ritz after Katrina hit, he said "reporters are saying people are only looting food and water, well I can tell you here at the Ritz the only thing that's left is food and water". Obviously telling the world they stole everything but food and water

By the way, anyway that downplays what this storm did to Florida is a fucking idiot. I live in Hollywood and while we got pounded, we are lucky as can be. I have power but many of my friends don't. The streets are a mess with trees down. I lost 150 feet of wood fence. We got lucky and dodged a serious bullet.

Amen. I never lost power, and we fared much better on the Treasure Coast than they did in Dade, Broward and West Coast, but it was still a monster of a storm. Be well Kenny and all of South and West Florida.

That storm sucked but luckily just a bunch of debris. I live in northwest broward county and never lost power. The scariest (for me) was all those tornado warnings, especially at 4 in the morning when we all hid in the bathroom!!

as for the looters, they showed that video yesterday afternoon and we heard they were arrested.

Rumor has it there were looters at academy sports in Orlando who tried to get guns and were involved in a standoff

good news dr.pugey great to hear.. the feedback im getting is that it will take weeks to get an adjuster out..
so thats more overhead but on the other hand more time to frame and craft the claim that looks best to get
the most bang for your insurance buck

having an adjuster that looks at the damage to give you advice on how plausible the claim is and/or how to frame the details of the claim is
everything

for example.. someone steals your car and burns it.. highly suspicious highly unlikely you get paid.. however if the car isn't stolen
and the fire originates under the hood , .. like happened to me one day when i was driving to get ALL OF MY JEWELERY cleaned , i had it in the trunk..
popped my hood open because i smelt smoke,, and i saw flames and ran across the street unable to save my jewelry.

Who do you think pays in the end for fraudulent claims? We can thank scum like you for constant rate increases.

Well I made it out ok. Rather large oak tree fell down and took my power hookup with it. Was lucky enough to find a hotel and hopefully power will be back tomorrow.

Crazy thing that happened before it got real bad a guy knocked on my door and asked if I could drive him to the hospital. Had a girl overdosing in his car. Don't know what happened to her or what she was on but hope she is ok. I live in one of the nicer parts of town so you can never tell who the abusers are.
