What the hell? Doesn't anybody else just buy Levi's for about $25-30?

Wrangler's Relaxed Fit, ever day low Walmart price $12.95. A very good pair of jeans for a great price.
There is no shame in being poor, only in dressing poorly!

Wrangler relaxed fit is all I own. I even play softball four nights a week wearing these jeans. I don't see how these young guys are out there in shorts, sweats and softball pants scraping themselves up. These jeans are great.

Walmart is the place to get these at a great price.

Levi's or Wranglers, prefer Wranglers. Who the hell are these guys trying to impress? Unless they're going the Jeans w/a sportscoat look (stupid) IMO. I wear jeans for comfort and vesatility. If I'm wearing a $200 pair of pants, I sure as hell ain't goin fishin in em! Or working on the car.:ohno: There may be a reason to spend that much, but it escapes me, of course I've been known to spend $300+ on a fly rod, or 30K on a fishing boat & motor. Guess it depends on values and likes. Spend 20 on jeans & take her to White Castle, and you'll still get layed.:):)

In the last issue of SI they asked Carlos Beltran what's the most he's ever paid for jeans.

His reply was 2K. I know he's rich but damn, 2K for jeans?

I am a huge fan of True Religion and Seven Jeans. They range anywhere from $150-$300 a pair.

Are they blue jeans or gold jeans?

I believe he stated they were made by Roberto Cavalli. If that spelling is incorrect I apologize as I'm not familiar with the brand.

He is making 18.5 million dollars in 09. During his current contract he will be making 119 million dollars. For making that kind of money and the MOST expensive pair is 2k...that is cheap. I don't know any jeans that cost 2k or any jeans that cost more, but for a guy making that kind of bread 2k isn't shit. Its like saying a guy who is making $50,000 a year spends $5 on a pair of jeans.......That would be equal to Beltran making $18,500,000 spending $2,000 on a pair of jeans .... .0001% of that years salary. Do you still think its a bad thing?

I don't care at all. If I were him and I liked the pair of jeans that cost 2k I would have multiple pairs. Believe me if I had a 119 million dollar contract I would buy and wear whatever I wanted.

I don't think it's a bad thing, someone posted an article a few weeks ago about how lots of big name athletes end up declaring bankruptcy. :cripwalk:

Tyson, Holyfield, MC Hammer, etc... There's so many celebs and athletes who have gone broke it's not funny. I just don't see the point in buying something for 2k when you can get a similar product for much less.

These type of people are just paying for the name is all. I don't need a well known name or brand to make me feel good no matter what my worth.
