When i was a young man just out of the Marine Corps in my early twenties [over 50 yrs ago] i was in a local/neighborhood bar & heard 3 guys talking about rolling/jumping me. They were talking in polish[no disrespect intended] & me being raised with a lot of others being of foreign descent, i understood a few words & was able to pick up from their conversation of what their intentions were. Well one of the 3 went to the head & that leaving only 2, i figured my chances were a little better 2 to 1 as to 3 to 1. So me just getting out of the marine corps thought i could whip the world[brainwashed, lol] figured to make my move now being only 2 to 1,i nailed one of the 2 with about 3 or 4 good ones knocking him out of a big plate glass window & turned around & got caught with about 2 or 3 good ones but was able to grab a cue stick & nailed this big fkr with it & then got lucky & knocked him out the same [broken]window. The 3rd guy came out of the pisser & saw what happened & ran out the door. Well the cops came & took me to jail overnight & then the owner of the bar came & bailed me out & also helped to get charges dropped as he had a lot of pull around town.By the way i also took my lumps in other scraps, so i am not saying i was a bad ass but was crazy & loved to fight[boxed in marines] when i was young & crazy, lol, too old for that now at 72 yrs old.

I met Col Paige once (Medal of Honor winner WW2), I was his escort home on Camp Pendelton where he was the quest speaker at one of our parties. We were both pretty tipsy so we walked to the guest house he was staying. He had some great stories and good advice.RC, I am probably the oldest marine [72 YRS OLD] although we have never met,LOL
