Cleveland -- New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees passed John Elway for fourth on the NFL's all-time passing list during the Saints' lone scoring drive in the first half Sunday at Cleveland.
The Browns led the Saints 16-10 at halftime at FirstEnergy Stadium.
Brees entered the game just 62 yards behind Elway.
The next milestone will take longer to achieve, as Brees trails No. 3 Dan Marino by nearly 10,000 yards.
The career leaders are: Brett Favre (71,838), Peyton Manning (65,233 after Week 1), Marino (61,361) and Brees (51,523 at halftime).
