Good Job Baseball, the past was yesterday...on to better subjects. I think I have found a way to track poster's picks that won't require any RX Techie involvement. Its a separate website and free....I've got a call into their webmaster and now I am going to lunch....McCormick & Schmicks CNN Center...c'mon down.
Shrink, I'm not a fan of theRX and some of the people here but I'm willing to post my suggestions to improve it.
My main beef is with all the bullshit posted here. There is so much bad information and advice that it's not worth it to try and weed through. You have JJ posting that you will never lose 4 in a row and advising people to double up every time they lose. You have your stone-cold mortage the house LOCKS. You have JMAN making a post about not being able to win both sides of a +13.5 and under 13.5 and then deleting the thread.
I'm also not a big fan of the complaints being hidden in another forum. I understand that not all complaints are equal and many are incorrect entirely, but they all need to be heard in the offshore forum and taken care of appropriately. It seems as the mods are much quicker to move complaints of RX sponsors to the complaint forum and leave up complaints of non-RX forums.
It would also be nice if some tracking software was put in place to get rid of all the cappers who lie about their records. I don't know how hard it would be but there are fabricated records here and it misleads people.
Just get rid of the BS. That's about it.

First off I'd say to fire that fat bastard McIrish!!! Oh never mind, I forgot I didn't work here any longer..... 
On a serious note, let me say first about the forum. Coming from an ex-employee the motivaton is sometimes strong to build up the time period you worked here and critique harshly how it looks now, sort of like what Peep has dedicated his life to, LOL. Just human nature for some. However I must tip my hat to the crew here, I never recall the forum reading as well and coming across as professional as it does these days. I don't know who all does what these days but keep it up, it's working.
I do have two things I would say that I personally would have mentioned. One has already been posted over and over, that being the politics. I can almost see the bit about the elections but as a business you never win by all your employees being so vehement on one side politically. My ex-wife used to send out emails for her business but at the bottom she would put something about the President, roughly 50% loved it and 50% hated it. And the 50% that hated it REALLY hated it. We begun to realize what's the point of angering 50% of our potential customers? What is there to gain, especially on such a sensitive topic as politics? There's a reason politics and religion are topics a lot of people refuse to discuss, not only will people get angry at you for not seeing it their way they will remember it and hold it against you. These threads did a lot more than just stay on top of line changes and following the betting, it became a platform for posters to unleash their hatred and anger at the world. It always does. I'm glad it's behind us to be honest, at least since then it seems like it's gotten cleaned up.
The second thing is the forum on book disputes being moved, I hate that as a player. This off-shore forum was always set up and designed almost specifically for this. Eventually it became a catch all for a lot of stuff but none more appropriate than potential player/book disputes, that would be the last thing I would have moved. Although I understand the reasons behind doing so, it almost comes across to readers as though the site is clearly going to be biased when it comes to our advertisters. The name the RX has built up over the years is much stronger than any positives that can come trying to make these complants about their advertisers hard to find. The books up top are big boys and either the dispute will be revealed as bogus or it will be settled in some fashion, either of the two is just fine for where it was in the old days.
Overall and other than this don't change a thing. The contests are great, the moderation here is the best I've seen, General has done more for players willingly than most places will do at gunpoint, the live lines are free, the book listing that was here was the best around, pick forums are a wealth of information etc etc etc..... The fact threads are even started like this trying to do better tells you all you need to know about the RX these days. Good job guys.

What about a sportsbook or advertiser of the Month? Could explain in plain English what bonuses are being offered, history, location, best values, limits, etc. Maybe this month if you say RX sent for extra $100 bonus. Would probably generate more business for that book, strengthen business ties between RX and book and provide a small bump for players who are members to sign up with advertisers. Also, a good get to know the book, while hanging out here. Maybe a get poster from the book, no after the WSEX thread forget that. No guest poster, unless they volunteer.
Poster of the month/week. Either random drawing or mods vote, frequency either way. Maybe a Bonus Play at sportsbook of the Month. Maybe have a vote among 5 nominees from the forum. Under a vote for your poster thread. Cannot be a bait and forget like the RX shirts.
A better selection of avatars. The ones available are very old and used. Get a better, more diverse selection, a refresh.
More articles on the front page. Even a bad article generates interest, sometimes more than a good one. Good topic starter.
