Greenie, not trying to be ugly...just realistic....you don't have a xxxxxxx clue about college football.

Maybe a good alert for the forum....this guy is clueless.

Wish you some smarts my friend..................

3 seasons at Vandy.....24-15.....5 losses a season is a lot in college.

7-6 last season at Penn st....Horrible.

Already has a loss this season at home to Temple....Horrible loss.

Resume sucks.

he had 65 scholarship players last year... the fact psu hasn't had a losing season since the sanctions in 2012 is quite impressive, actually. hackenberg doesnt fit the system and especially tough when there's no talent/depth at OL. once hack leaves and the depth is fixed then you can judge him if he still can't win

Wow...I respect the hell out of you as a capper but fuck man you are way off on this one (at least for now)

24-15 at vandy...again...VANDY...look at what they did in the 50 years before he got there and watch what they do the next 50....they are doormats of the sec and college football and Franklin made them relevant

last year at PSU 7-6 with a bowl win with a depleted roster from bullshit sanctions, the recruiting from the previous two years was shit because of sanctions and scholarship limitations....to win 7 games with 40 scholarship players and only one scholarship offensive tackle that wasn't a freshman, really isn't that bad

loss to temple...no excuse, the OC made no adjustments and called a horrific game..but gotta give temple some props too, their defense finished #4 in the country in scoring d last year and returned 10 of 11 players...they will finish in the top 25 this year...still a game we should have won...

im a homer I admit, but I try to be level headed about it. I think Franklin has a very bright future at penn state as long as he surrounds himself with good coordinators ...he is an outstanding recruiter and has recruited very well since he got here and has a top 5 class currently. Gotta give him another year or two to get his players in then judgement can occur. I think I'm 2-3 years PSU will be a top 10 program again...

guess we will see

Agree. Green makes some stupid/silly comments sometimes.

Anyone who thinks his record at Vandy is ho-hum/mediocre/soft or ANYTHING other than INCREDIBLY IMPRESSIVE honestly knows VERY LITTLE about the great sport of College Football. That's a fact. Teams like Vandy aren't supposed to win more than 5 games EVER in a season. And when they do, they celebrate like they won the National Championship. What Franklin did at Vandy makes him worthy of a statue outside of Vandy's stadium!

Someone tell me Jim McElwain's record at Colorado State was unimpressive. He went 4-8 his first year....and it was a train wreck. His final record was 22-16. Nothing too impressive when you look at it on the surface. But then when you see the turn around he made, it's very impressive.

Those arguing Franklin can't coach please do us a favor and stop participating in this forum....

Thank you.

Coach, I never got to celebrate, LOL. In three seasons, we won a total of 7 games ('79-'81). These jackasses above don't have a clue. Cloverleaf, that doesn't include you pal, and there's someone else in the thread from Tennessee that has a clue. Franklin has more bowl games and wins at Vandy than all the other coaches in their history.....COMBINED. I went there for my education, just got stupid on a bet by some of my regular partiers and walked on. I'd do it all over again. One of the country's great campuses and hoops is king there. But for a coach to come in and bring winning seasons in football is nothing short of remarkable.

He didn't do crap at vany. He still finished lole 13th in recruiting every year.he won with Bobby Johnsons players and created a culture of rapists. He won his ooc games against geogia st,umass, temple etc. The conference games he did win we're against coaches who have since been fired. Overrated as hell

How bad is a SEC program when conference USA teams schedule them for homecoming and will no doubt be favored. Guys saying Franklin was a good recruiter when he finished 13th in a 14 team conference. Holy fuck they should shut the program down and focus on gang rape

Freakin dumbass! So when were those games played? Not under Franklin's tenure. People like you give the great state of Tennessee a bad wrap. Get an education and then come back to the forum.

Note to self: One dumbass posted a game Vandy is playing, something about "homecoming." You better pray to God the Dores don't whip their asses, which I believe they will, 'cause I'll hound you until you find another site for your damn gibberish.
