wow american you must even lack knowledge of the US culture , I thought you would at least recognize the Mardi Gras some cultural content, then again, why would I expect such a thing

Mardi Gras is great if you want to get drunk off your ass for days at a time. However, I'm not into the drinking scene now, although you should have seen me in college. It's no fun to be around crowds of drunk people (unless you're one of them) and that kind of energy doesn't attract me. I believe I'll check out spring training instead, and maybe the Magic will win another game.

I think CR is pretty safe...just depends with who and were u hang out. Nothing has ever happen to me or anyone I know.

I bring this up because Costa Rica is no longer "the Switzerland of Central America". They've succeeded in f*cking up a good thing. It's no better and no worse than anyone country south of the border. THAT'S my point.

Costa Rica is a lot more safer than countries like Columbia, Venezuela, Honduras, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Mexico.

Try going to one of those countries and you will love CR for the rest of your life.

As for Truthteller's story...the same thing happened to Bill Cosby's son a few years back...in Los Angeles, I believe. Changing a tire on the side of the road, then robbed and murdered. It happens all over the world, all of the time.
