I very much disagree. There are few jobs more important than educating our youth, the future. I've heard of many professors being fired, but you rarely (although it happens) hear of this after they're tenured (sp?).

When the war plan seems to care more about not injuring the iraqi people than our own US Marines then I say somewhere along the way they've decided to appease the hand wringers.
No, they are trying not to kill the people they've claimed they are there to liberate. Liberating the Iraqi people is one of the stated objectives of this war. That objective was laid out by the Bush Administratiion.
It would be a bit difficult to claim you are there to liberate the citizens if you are carelessly bombing the shit out of them.

everything else should be secondary. Seems winning is secondary and being nice and friendly is most important. Too many good guys are going to get killed if the US continues to play nice with the devil. They must think we are the peace corp. or something. We give them candy they blow us up. They wave the white flag and stab us in the back. They fake surrenders and car problems and blow us up. We better wake up and do what it takes to win or things are going to get ugly. The US will still win, however, the cost is going to be high. The appeasement must stop.

So the obvious answer to that is once we've dealt with the damage caused by humans we start to deal with other factors that damage the ozone layer using science to counter them.
