I disagree with your statement; the war plan was made by the military and the Bush administration. Please show hard evidence that there was any type of appeasement built into the plan. Opinions don't count. And do you know anything about the military Out? Have you have spent time in uniform? Making grandiose statements about the length of a war is pure folly, any general will tell you so. There are just too many variables.
This war plan was designed to keep civilians deaths and injuries to a minimum because one of the main reasons for this war was to liberate the Iraqi people. That is why the Bush administration named the campaign is called "Operation Iraqi Freedom".
Now don't blame the Liberals for the length of the war. George Bush is the person who stressed the freeing of the Iraqi people as one of the main goals of the war. Rumsfield is the man who decided that we could win this war with minimal troops and superior technology (obviously he is wrong).
