Johnson to DH for Mets in opener
Kelly Johnson will DH for the Mets in the World Series opener. Johnson was acquired from the Braves on July 24 and since then he's hit .250 with five HRs and 13 RBIs. Against the Royals' Game 1 starter Edinson Volquez, he's gone 4 for 14 (.286) with 2 RBIs.

Luke Hochevar has thrown 5 2/3 scoreless innings in the postseason, and Royals manager Ned Yost says he could be used in some more high-leverage situations against the Mets in the World Series. Hochevar appeared primarily when the Royals were behind or leading big in the first two playoff rounds against the Astros and Blue Jays.
Royals RHP Edinson Volquez will take the mound Tuesday in Game 1, and Johnny Cueto will get the nod for Game 2. Matt Harvey and Jacob deGrom will start Games 1 and 2, respectively, for the Mets.
