Buzz , my wife worked for Arthur Anderson , I met the guy who managed the debacle of that software company Peregrine in San Diego with their "Enron Jr" type stunts on the $$$ numbers , met him in like 1998 , like 3 years before he got famous , total LANG-type fraud - clown - salesman type . Full of shit , trying to over hype everything he was doing , Peregrine was name of the software company, it was based in San Diego , chaired by John Morres who owned-maybe still owns the SD Padres
Its really terrible what happened to Arthur Anderson. They used to be the epitome of a good auditing firm, very conservative. I interviewed for them while I was still in college but did not get the job. They should of kept the auditing and consulting sides separate. I got a kick out of reading about Madoff's CPA. He was a one man operation, located in a strip mall. Madoff would send him the financials and the guy would just type up a clean opinion and run with what Madoff sent him. Crazy.

Palace Malice took charge on the turn for home and won the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, holding off Preakness Stakes winner Oxbow and Kentucky Derby winner Orb.
The win gave Todd Pletcher his second Belmont winner in six years, and vindicated the trainer's support of a 3-year-old who came into the final leg of the Triple Crown with only one win.
Palace Malice, who finished 12th in the Derby and skipped the Preakness, covered the 1½ miles (2,400 meters) in a slow 2:30.70 on a fast track following a 24-hour downpour.
Palace Malice, ridden by Mike Smith and sent off at odds of 13-1, returned $29.60, $11.20 and $6.70. The colt was one of a record five entries by Pletcher.
