I pray the bookmakers put the wva total at anything above 140, the under will be cash money this will be a very sloppy ton of bricks hold the rock till 3 type game.

144 opener i think it was . . . and it appears people like the o as line is moving up at some books . . .

I just dont like taking favorites on a neutral court it is a losing proposition in the long run.

but wv was hung as a dog though and then they became a fav.

you can actually still get them +1 at mb - if there's any left.

Thanks for the write-ups. You seem to rattle off that stuff like a true journalist....lol.

I can't disagree with your plays, but my selection procedure doesn't afford me a play on the Tex/Villanova game. I have a small lean toward 'Nova. Nova's defense looks good on paper, but playing against the likes of Monmouth, Houston Baptist and Fordham, anyone can look good. I DO respect 'Nova's win over a pretty decent Rhode Island team. But on my sheet, Texas has put up some impressive Offensive stats against opponents that I have rated as #34 in the Nation on avg, while I have 'Nova's opponents collectively rated at #338. That in itself will keep my off this matchup. I'd like this play a lot better if 'Nova was at home.

I'm glad to see we're on the same side of the W.V. game. You're analysis reinforced my play, as I 'capped this game a little differently. Davidson hasn't played anyone as talented as W.V to date. I know they have a nice little 5 pt. win over N.C St. but I have N.C St. a dog to W.V on a neutral court by 14....YIKES! This may be a close game, but I like W.V to prevail by 4-6 pts. I'm thinking about a small ML play.

Thanks again for the time and good luck on your action....

holding off on Ball St +12.5 for now. Most likely will be pulling the trigger if I can get +13 or better.

Not a problem, thank you for the information:103631605

However the reason I feel comfortable playing on Nova is b/c my familiarity with them. I live in the Northeast and am a Big East guy. I have had the unpleasant experience of watching this same Villanova team beat my Orange twice last year, along with witnessing them lose another to Syracuse. I saw all 3 games live, as I am a Syracuse season ticket holder, annually attend the Big East tournament, and annually make a trip to meet up with friends that now live in NYC in Philadelphia to watch the Orange when they travel to Nova. I have also watched them countless other times in Big East battles on television. This is basically the same team as last year, so even though their schedule to date is exactly daunting, last season should hold some weight. Their guards are as good as you are going to get. They have the unique ability of turning games ugly with pesky defense so I know your defensive numbers hold some truth. Also as you said you would like them more if they were at home, you have to remember they play at the Garden when they play @ St John's, and in the Big East tournament. The Nova seniors have probably played 10 games on this same court, with 4 of them being last season.

Anyways thanks for the info and BOL this evening:toast:

Opposite on Davidson, but agree on Villanova

I completely disagree with the statement that Curry is not a point guard. Curry's natural position was point guard, and he actually was converted to the shooting guard due to the prolific assist man that was Jason Richards. Hopefully you will get to see more Davidson games as the year progresses. Unlike many other teams in the NCAA that are full of hardheaded athletes and superstar players, Davidson had good athletes and also some of the best fundamental basketball players in the NCAA. 99% of the time they are going to be the better coached, better prepared team and every season you will see them playing significantly better, smarter ball as the season progresses.

That being said, Davidson played terribly against Okla and only lost by 5. They struggled in the first half against NC State, but pulled ahead and ultimately won after leading most of the second half. On top of that they actually out rebounded the much bigger NC State team. There biggest problem this year is that with Curry running the point they have to get him "2nd touches" once he does pass the ball. There was very little of that happening in the Oklahoma game. There was an increase in his second touches in the State game. They will continually get better and I think tonight Curry will be able to get himself enough good looks and also get enough 2nd touches to win.

Thanks for all your insight, just wanted to share my opinion cause it seems like you have a big play on.

solid information. they were however down by 15 to OU very late until they rattled off a bunch of 3's at the end of the game. i have watched Davidson play virtually every time they have been on television. i mean as a huge basketball fanatic how can you not want to see this kid play. There is no denying Curry is a cold hearted assassin, but the kid is a scorer. Sure he can run the point because he is that talented, but he has 2 guard at heart, and would be better off playing the 2. It's also true that Davidson is extremely well coached, but as good as they are nobody is going to out work a Bobby Huggins team. This is your typical Big East team and I think in the end their physicalness, athleticism, and overall talent should win out.

anyways, I appreciate your thoughts. GL:toast:

tough call on that one. I would probably lean Iowa St, but no where near a solid play either way. Drake has been inconsistent, but has the talent and guard play to win on the road. Iowa St has been inconsistent too. I just wouldn't feel comfortable playing either side. Sorry i couldn't be much help, just don't see either side as a strong play. GL

played both wvu and nova ml when the lines came out, so just need one to win for profit. its time for the big east to flex their muscles tonight.

that's exactly what i'm trying to say. These are 2 battle tested teams playing at a familiar venue. Big East will show tonight just why they are the nation's top conference, and possibly the best conference of all time.

I like the under in the davidson game, with Davidson's point guard out and curry having to handle the ball it may not set him up as well for his array of shots.....146 is pretty high for a very solid defensive WVU team, and I think the physicalness of WVU will show tonight and this will go well below the high total of 146......what are you thoughts dawg?
