Notre Dame +3.5 -110

I don't think ND is getting the respect they deserve. This is a very very good team. They are well balanced, experienced, and have multiple scorers who can torch you on any given night. As they have an established point guard in Jackson, Texas is relying on a shoot first 2 guard to run their offense. Now this is nothing against Abrams b/c he is an exceptional player, but he is a scorer. Asking him to run the offense, and get others involved could cause them some problems when they run into some good teams such as ND. I expect them to hit some rough patches early in the season when he is getting adjusted to running the point. As I said ND is well balanced. I would give them a decent advantage in the frontcourt with Harangody, and Zeller, who is stepping his game up. Gody is a beat who cleans the glass, and will cause some match up problems against the Texas front court. I think he is going to get them in foul trouble. Then if they double down he can kick it out to McLanarney for 3. I also think we catch a break being able to play ND in their 2nd game on this court. Being a shooting team it helps that they are now adjusted and have had a few shoot arounds to get adjusted to the hoops. I think the wrong team is favored here, and the Irish have a good chance, and imo should win the game.

Like the Toledo total play somewhat. If the Rockets continue to struggle with turnovers it has a great shot. The Vikes usually defend pretty well. Also wouldn't hurt to see Ty Kent suffer through another shooting day like he had last night, 1/9 and 0/5 from 3pt. The guy can go off for 35 or he can completely disappear.

I'm on Cleve State -4 small, I got it earlier its up to 5 now.

I would've posted earlier, but I got called on the carpet by Head Moderator Willie for being a bit outlandish (understatement) with my posts in Rodfather's college hoops thread. I was summarily booted/suspended out of the College Hoops section of the Rx for a few hours. I apologized, and Willie being the benevolent leader he is, accepted and has allowed me back in. Willie says as long as I stay out of Rod's threads, everything is good to go. No need to go slumming there anyway since Rod is a 100% con man/farce! Besides, I'm in the penthouse here hanging with a legitimate bonifide REAL handicapper. Enough of my drama! :drink:

I believe that tempo is the biggest factor in this one. ND is pretty damn good when they can run the floor and get some scoring in transition. If they can get out and run I love their chances. I actually parlayed them with the over tonight. Should be a fun one to watch.

as far as ND this should be a very entertaining game. i have a feeling texas may try to get out and run with them. i think abrams inexperience at pg may cause them some problems. i don't think he will be able to control tempo, and texas in the past has been a team that wants to get out and run. this yr i would have to say that tempo favors the Irish. over looks solid as well. gl tonight
