Hey HD, I have not had the time to post much as I have been pretty busy. I'm probably not telling you anything that you couldn't pull from the boxscore but I saw the Miami/ Wright game and there is something very, very wrong with this Raider team. Duggins was OK but still not shooting it well and Brown may as well not have even laced em up. The Wright presence in the paint is non existant. I think they miss Pleiman and Wilson far more than anybody thought they would.
I made a pretty good play on Miami last night and will continue to play against the Raiders. Its going to be a long, long season for Brownell and crew.
Just wanted to pass along a first hand report of the game your way.
Good luck today.
need a read on Penn St...I know its a road game but its in state...probably will have just as many fans there as Penn. They return Cornley an all league performer and 4 other starters?? What gives?? Not to mention they feature 3 guys in starting lineup 6'10" or taller--I know they are atrocious away from home, but this isn't exactly a huge road trip and they have some familiarity with this Penn team...I just don't see a team like Penn hanging around with a veteran group that Penn St has...I mean they don't have much , but experience is something they do have in starting two seniors and three guys with an entire year under their belts. Are Rosen , Bernardini and a healthy Darren Smith enough to keep an undersized Penn team in this game?
Any thought on Utah St.? Keep up the good work man, that record is every bookies nightmare :toast:
Creighton's prospects of having Justin Carter available for tonight's game against Arkansas-Little Rock took a turn for the better Monday.
The 6-foot-4 Carter expected to take part in the Bluejays' workout Monday evening at the Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock. Carter exhibited only a slight limp as he walked around Creighton's Vinardi Center before the team left on its chartered flight for Arkansas.
"I'm going to try to practice, and see how it feels," Carter said. "I think I'll be able to go."
Carter suffered an injury to the Achilles tendon in his right leg when he was fouled hard by Oral Roberts center Marcus Lewis early in the second half of Saturday's win over the Golden Eagles. Carter did not return to action and left Qwest Center Omaha wearing a walking boot.
Carter said Monday the injury felt better.
"I've been getting a lot of treatment," he said. "This is a relief. When it happened, I thought maybe I'd be out for a long time."
I am following "my leader" Homedawg and playing ALR +3.5 at home.
Homedawg thanks again for all your work and your picks.
