Ancic, Hewitt and Safin aren't big opponents, all over the hill. Nadal would never have lost to any of those players. Both Nadal and Federer are so ahead of the rest of the tour (minus Djokovic) it wouldn't have matter who they played anyways.

As for revenge, why isn't Rafa playing for revenge after losing the past two wimbledon finals to Roger? Rafa is so much mentally stronger anyways.

And

What does this mean? Sentence doesn't make any sense, Nadal doesn't chip and charge.

Nadal chips when he is in trouble on the backhand just to get the ball back. Anotherwards he hits the ball downward at an angle just to create spin but no velocity. That shot will not work against Fed period. Nadal rarely charges the net period.

I'm not talking about revenge from last year?? Come on think, buddy?? How many times have these guys played since last year? Duh?

Ancic, Safin, and Hewitt aren't big opponents?? They are 10 times bigger than what Nadal just faced and they have all had great grass careers. Nadal has faced nobody and looked very very sluggish against Gulbis and at times vs. old man Schuettler who just played the third longest match in wimbledon history. Bottom line is line is way too low on grass .

Even if you think Federer beat the better players to get to the final, HPARK1 is correct about Nadal's grass form. He beat some damn good players before Wimbledon on a faster grass surface. I'd pick him to beat Ancic,Safin and Hewitt in a heartbeat. Nadal faced some younger, higher rated players than those guys on his way to the finals as well (Murray and Youzhny).

BTW-Ancic was coming off a marathon match going into the Federer match against FERNANDO VERDASCO.

Nadal has had the hardest match so far when he faced Murray IMO, and he crushed him. Hewitt is nothing special anymore, and Safin is a complete headcase. I really like Ancic though, and he played Fed tough after the 1st set.

Like HPark said though, these two are so far ahead of everyone else not including Djokovic that it wouldn't of mattered who was in either guys draw because they both would have destroyed anybody. It will be an amazing match most likely, and I think Nadal comes out ahead. I'm not going to deny that Federer is possibly the best of all time, and he is certainly still playing at an extremely high level, but I think Nadal is the best right now on clay AND grass. Nadal could have easily took Wimbledon last year, and he is so much better now. If anything Federer's game has declined slightly since last year.

It will be a great match, but I'm thinking Nadal in 4 or 5.

I know those two are way ahead of everyone but at least Nadal would have been tested much more if he did indeed play those other players. The swiss master just doesn't lose on grass. If Nadal plays like he did in second set yesterday he will be bounced early tomorrow.

Murray toughest match so far?? You must be kidding. Murray was so winded coming in after playing the longest match of his career . He had nothing to offer Nadal as far as any type of competition. That match was set up as a win for Nadal right after Murray beat Gasquet.

Every player chips when they are in trouble. I don't see your point here. And lets just forget this revenge angle, its stupid. Both players will give their maximum effort. The result will be a product of who plays better, not who is trying to gain revenge.

You are looking too hard into their paths getting to the final in predicting the winner. Both players are in good form and eased to the final. I don't know how you can downplay Nadal because he looked "very, very sluggish against a player who is very dangerous on fast courts and will probably be a top 5 player in a couple years. And then critiquing his routine victory over Schuettler. C'mon, the match was a formality. You don't think maybe he was looking ahead to Federer, what would be the motivation to destroy Rainer? He looked pretty good to me when he dismantled Kiefer, Youzhny and Murray consecutively. All solid fast court players. Also didn't look to bad beating Roddick and Djokovic in the semi and final to claim Queens.

Very good points. Nadal has a tendency to chip a little too much though especially when he is in trouble(can't get away with that on grass). There was no motivation to destroy Rainier, obviously he just had a very bad second set. I have never seen Roger play a set like that in my life on grass. I'm sure he did though years ago. The one thing people are overlooking in about 8 forums that i visit is this simple fact? Roger does not lose on grass. When was the last time he has even lost a set on grass let alone three in one day. We will see.

Well he lost two against Nadal last year at Wimbledon...

I'm not saying Roger isn't amazing and that he can't win, but it isn't nearly as easy as you think it is. Is he dominant on grass? Absolutely, he has won something like 64 in a row on grass, but Nadal took him to the limit last year and Nadal's game is so much improved since then. Nadal might have the best work ethic out of everyone on tour.

I'm be cheering for Nadal to win, but in the back of my head I wouldn't mind seeing Roger get that sixth straight Wimbledon title because I'm sure nobody else will have that opportunity for a very long time.

Nadal has been closing the gap on Federer for the last two years and will finally inherit the throne of best player in the world when he totally dominates Federer on Sunday. Federer is in decline and will not win a set. Take straight sets Nadal at odds of 5-1. This is as easy as it gets people. You will thank me on at Noon on Sunday.

the difference will be federer's serve.. if he is able to serve at 65 % or higher , he will win.

the difference is fed is unsure of himself on clay vs rafa .

he doesnt have those same feelings on grass ..

hopefully it will be one for the ages.... all i know is , these 2 guys are fun to watch when they play each other..

Not saying Nadal doesn't win, but you don't think Roger takes a set?

I'm a complete tennis square, but the number 1 player in the world playing on the surface that he owns seems like a big bargain at -120. I know that Nadal is awesome, but Federer is better on grass, and is playing so well. He hasn't lost a set, and you can tell he lives for this stuff in his interviews. I just think he welcomes the challenge and will prove that he is still the best, although the margin might be small.

Nadal leads headsup 11-6, but 8-1 on clay, 0-2 on grass. I think Nadal is on some really good juice right now, Federer been battling Mono, so an energy factor here. Im taking the Over on games played, IVe gone back and forth on who is going to win and cant decide.

Here's the thing that makes me wonder.
Vegas is suppose to know much more about things like this, right?
If Federer is indeed the superior player in this event, on this surface, why is he only a 30 cent favorite?
