The Lasagna actually sounds great for those who said they have it.

Just found out we're having ham since we had turkey for Thanksgiving.....

I grew up having to go to my great grandparents and grandparents generation of formal Christmas Dinners and Ham was always the meat with maybe roast beef. Turkey was reserved for Thanksgiving. Only after that generation of folks passed on did we as a family adopt Homemade Spaghetti as the dinner food for our Christmas Meal. After had I had my gallbladder removed, I only eat a small portion regardless if it were still ham as in the old days or spaghetti in these modern times. I have tried to only eat to live and not live to eat as the old adage goes. I heard a man state the other night that the best advice his mom ever gave him was "Not to dig his grave with his teeth".

The key to having turkey again for Christmas and it not seeming monotonous is to do a smoked turkey. Smoked turkey blows regular turkey away but I can never convince the family to do one on Thanksgiving because it's not 'traditional'.

On Christmas however, we rotate between Prime Rib & Smoked Turkey.

They sell them at Honeybaked for those that don't have a smoker.

i like those stoufer's lasagna in a box.....throw it in the oven for an hour and you got a good dinner

For those of us who haven't been blessed with an Italian mother, Stauffer's is pretty decent for an easy meal. Is it as good as an Italian restaurant meal? No. But it tastes pretty good IMHO.

For me, it's turkey.

However, my boss brought a Honeybaked ham to work last week and it was delicious!

A turkey and a duck, both done on the grill.

I single-handedly spearheaded the initiative to include duck on my family's menu about 10 years ago. Thankfully it has suck because I'm not a huge turkey fan.

Not a huge fan of either but at least I'm in charge of the turkey. I'll be injecting the shit out of it with butter and spices. Always lasagne and prime rib for Christmas.

Nothing better than a Honey-Baked ham. The leftovers are even better for the next few days.

What's your preference come Thanksgiving & Christmas guys?

The bird or the pig......:toast:

I've had a bird make me pig, and unfortunately I've had a pig make me bird.

Thanksgiving-------Turkey

Christmas-----------Ham

In general...........although Scalloped Potatoes would be my favorite out of all the dishes combined on those two.
