Yep, not hearing pretty much anything as I enjoy a Sunday ritual that I love. Games have actually been quite enjoyable for the millions that are still watching, wagering, and playing fantasy football. But I hope those that are not watching are enjoying their little protest (as much as these silly players are enjoying theirs). And for anyone that thinks this is the end of the NFL, I'd say you're quite naive.

This forum is the best. Also, the title of this post is the very definition of “fake news”. You know, the term the leader of our nation made famous.

I was suprised they showed the anthem for the London game. Didn't see anyone kneeling but there might have been. Peterson was standing with his arms crossed and a scowl on his face.

Especially when there's no way to verify the actual attendance at games (the NFL only gives paid attendance numbers). I couldn't tell you when those pictures were taken...nor do I care.

Look, the NFL isn't really going to feel this until it comes time for ticket renewals. People that want out are stuck for this year because they already paid for their season tickets. Then when it comes time to negotiate advertising revenue advertisers are going to want to pay less since the ratings are down. I wouldn't be surprised to see the salary cap go down for the first time ever. Shut the fuck up and play football. We don't want to hear your liberal political bullshit. I don't want to see players giving a black power fist. I don't want to see players kneeling for the anthem. I don't want to see and hear players disrespecting law enforcement. I don't want to hear how police are picking on blacks.

So the salary cap goes down. So advertisers don't pay quite as much. Whatever. Football isn't going anywhere. It will still be one of the most lucrative sports regardless. They could lose 30% of their attendance and TV audience and they still will be making tons of money. Do you have a point? Especially when there's barely a mention of it during games. If you don't want to watch the games, no one's forcing you. Don't watch.

i still watch. i still love my fave team. i still spend money....but I do have friends telling me it is no longer must watch and they are saying besides anthem stuff, it just has lost some luster. I believe both sides are right above....interest is a bit down but NFL not going anywhere...but let us not forget there was a time horse racing and boxing were top and of course baseball. Shit changes and the NFL in 10 years could be way different.

My point is let's see how the players react when the dollars decrease. Lower salaries. Of course people will always watch football. To each his own. I won't watch. If you want to watch, go ahead. But I will continue to voice my opinion.
