McFauld's Lake is now also a rhodium mine with a price of 6,775.00 per oz. With this news out today I don't understand why NOT is down today. I thought this kind of news would have the stock up $1 or 2 a share. Maybe everyone is waiting on the results of hole #18.

..fact

buy on rumour; sell on news..>>
all i can think is the findings were unusual; with professional geologists giving their interpretations; and it is obvious there is a real long haul here.
..
hard to believe this ain't a long term winner though

the results were trully amazing on that pr. Not everyone understands that. As far as the bigger picture, it was a stepping stone for us. The shorters are trying evrything they can to sell shares, but expect this stock to bounce back in huge way next week. IN A HUGE WAY

if you can, add to your position today

it is a great day to do so

take advantage of those weak hands

Heres some info I came across that I thought would intrest anyone that owns NOSOF or NOT.
Daily News Friday, December 14, 2007 Noront reports new high-grade intersections at Double EagleNoront Resources (NOT-V, NOSOF-O) is reporting promising new assay results from its rich nickel-copper find in the remote James Bay region of northern Ontario. Results from Noront's 100%-owned Eagle One occurrence within the Double Eagle project in the McFaulds Lake area appear to lend weight to the company's belief that it has stumbled upon what could become the country's next large base metal camp. Assays from new drill hole data indicate high-grade intersections of nickel, copper, platinum and palladium over "impressive widths," the company said in a press release. Highlights include hole NOT-07-14, where 3.6 metres of massive sulphides averaged 3.43% copper, 7.45% nickel, 5 grams per tonne platinum, 9.1 grams per tonne palladium, and 0.12 gram per tonne gold, at depths of between 52.8 and 56.4 metres. Those encounters were within part of a much larger intersection at depths of between 45.9 to 80 metres, which averaged 1.22% copper, 2.28% nickel, 1.6 grams per tonne platinum, 4.13 grams per tonne palladium and 0.14 gram per tonne gold. The assay results also show a lower grade zone exists from 80 to 110 metres, averaging 0.28% copper, 0.59% nickel, 0.37 gram per tonne platinum, 1.18 grams per tonne palladium and 0.1 gram per tonne gold. Hole NOT-17-16 encountered a net-textured peridotite section combined with the massive sulphide section over 12.7 metres, between depths of 121.1 and 133.8 metres, averaging 1.55% copper, 2.4% nickel, 2.63 grams per tonne platinum, 5.1 grams per tonne palladium, 0.12 gram per tonne gold and 4.5 grams per tonne silver. That hole also encountered a lower grade section between 92.9 metres and 121.1 metres at a width of 28.2 metres, averaging 0.50% copper, 0.57% nickel, 0.47 gram per tonne platinum, 1.5 grams per tonne palladium, 0.17 gram per tonne gold, and 1.5 gram per tonne silver. Since drilling began on the Eagle One occurrence in late August, Noront has completed 5,046.6 metres of drilling in 27 diamond drill holes. In addition, Noront said preliminary analytical work on selected samples for other platinum group elements suggest that rhodium is also present. Rhodium "could add significant value to the zone's resource potential," Richard Nemis, Noront's president and chief executive said in a prepared statement. The price of rhodium has shot up from US$452 per ounce in January 2004, to $6,725 per ounce on Dec. 12. Rhodium is a silver-white metallic element and is used as a finish for jewelry, mirrors, and search lights. It is also used in electric connections and when alloyed with platinum, can be used in aircraft turbine engines. The metal can also be used, together with platinum and palladium, to control exhaust emissions. Noront's shares on the TSX Venture Exchange fell 9¢ to close at $4.27 on a trading volume of 1.4 million. Iroh :toast:

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0><TBODY><TR><TD>I'll tell you I was concerned with all this great news and the stock going down like it has so I called this morning.
I asked him if we added any tonnage and he said that's what we're doing right now drilling the holes to complete a 43-101.
He has 2 drills comming in January and he has names for them Johny and June. We chuckled that he named the drilles but he said it form the Ring of Fire.
I asked about the land to the south as mentined by Mr Mungall that this thing goes that way and I said who is south of us and he said Fancamp and Freewest. fancamp did not wan to do a JV and they will drill on their own in February. Freewest will JV with us and he had lunch with Mark Watson (I may have the name wrong as I can't read my writting here) to get the details worked out. Then I asked how far south and he explained that we own a very large area to the south and what Mr Mungall is reffering to is on our land. That was good to hear.
Talked about the newsrelease again and he said he doesn't understand why the stock is down but then he said there will be anews release next week on hole 17,18,19 and I said yeah I think 18 shouldbe a good one and he said " it will be a barnburner " and then he said " just before Christmas "
He also said to watch out for number 27 and he said " this is a spectacular hole"
I said I almost sold yesterday after 12 years of holding but I didn't and he said you did the right thing.
Hope this helps the board, I had to call again just to satisfy myself going into the weekend.
GLTA and lets hang in there. Tcp

NEXT WEEK SHOULD BE A GREAT WEEK. :money8:

Doug I hear you and I keep buying....but at some point this stock has to get some legs....It has been beaten down day in and out....I feel that everyone on this board owns it and you know what happens when one side of the boat gets too heavy??

Anyway I still like the stock a "ton" and wish we could get some tonnage results

mining shares and especially precious metals mining shares are 3x more volatile than overall market.

that includes both up and down price movements.

if people already have a position and bought it without using leverage, dont watch every tick.

people that are unusually flaky about price fluctuations, most likely should not be in this sector.
