Hey Lor, good stuff hun? I try and follow the agroa board as much as possible but, sometimes it is a bit to much. There are a few posters I will read always and I try to get out of there as quick as I can. You can really get stuck on that board if you let it. I am hoping the NOT starts to really take off in the next couple of months so that I don't have to watch my portfolio all of the time. Hope all is good with you and I will watch for your post on this board. Where is Doug been lately? Go NOT and stay long.

Hi Lovetowin, WOW we are on page 12, 280 post and over 12,000 views on this exciting journey and history in the making at McFauld's Lake's "Ring of Fire" and Noront Resource being the leader of the pack. I know what you mean about agora board gets to be a little to much sometimes. But there is alot of good info posted, just have to weed though to find it. As for Doug he must be busy, hopefully if he has any news he'll share with all of us on here. Here in the NE Pa. we are snowed in today so I had plenty of time to read up on NOSOF. It has become one of my favorite things to pass time.

Here is another phone call to Novak that was posted on agora board. Enjoy, Lor

Everything in the ROF is important to NOT
This was posted by Johndefur on SH but I think it was snug who made the call:

I had a brief discussion this a.m. with Neil Novak. He was answering the phones before 9:00 a.m. when I caught him. We discussed a number of things before he had to head off to a meeting at 9.
On the topic of the SPQ/FWR/KWG chromite and PGM , Neil was up at the site last week. He spotted the first drill hole location and the drill crew is ready to go. The start of drilling is pencilled in for February 15. Neil noted that there are "junior geos" at the site but that Dr. Lahti, the senior geologist, will be overseeing the drilling.
5000 meters is scheduled to be drilled by June with a July completion date. If something "big" is struck, more drilling can take place at these locations.
Regarding the "Diagnos" project, the preliminary geophysics has been done. Neil mentioned that he has identfied a couple of anomalies which look good. He has to put a proposal together to put in front of the JV partners.
Note 2: The drill platform from the chrome & PGM site would be used for this drilling unless of course something exciting was seen at the first site.
On the topic of McFaulds East & West, Jim Voisin of UC Resources is driving these projects. A meeting is scheduled to take place next week where Jim will pitch his ideas. Decisions will be made at that time with regards to moving forward on these projects.
Neil is in constant contact with all of the players at McFaulds, particularly with Noront . I think he is very happy with his role as VP of Noront. He has known Richard Nemis for a long time; he believes/trusts in him; and he understands that RN is the "deal maker" (his words).
He's in weekly contact with John Harvey who is the "big picture" guy (Neil's words). Neil, talking about himself, is the "details guy". He believes in project protocols. (i.e., he's no Robert Friedland).
Some final thoughts:
I asked Neil about the PDAC luncheon on March 6. He seems to think that it will have a strong emphasis on students. The presentation will be geared to telling the students about McFaulds and its geology. In fact, the First Nations people will have representation. Neil has done a fabulous job working with the First Nations. (His last presentation in Thunderbay to the Chiefs was scheduled to run 30 minutes. It ended up going 5 hours!)
So there you have it. I wish I could tell you about drill cores, visuals, assays, 43-101s, and the fabulous wealth that's on the horizon - but I can't. But thsere are viable SPQ projects with project timelines. And it's all part of the McFaulds Great Canadian Area Play.
Be patient and keep the faith.

Good info lor. NOT is up .34 cents today and BMK up .04 cents. I guess we have to wait until after 3 P.M. west coast time to see what NOSOF and MCDMF did today. I really hate not being in the same stock as the folks in Canada. Hopefully we went up today as well. They seem to stay in the general area but, not always the same price. Seems like the end of the day took off so, we will have to see what happens the rest of the week.

Hi Doug, glad all is well with you. I was just checking out NUVB and see they had a high of $37.50 in Apr. 07. What the hell happen to get it to this level, the ask is 0.0006? The thing that could move this stock is there is only 27.3 million share avalible for trading, you may get 0.04 for your shares with a good news release out on the company. I am cash poor right know with alot of my money in NOSOF so I bought 500,000 shares for a whopping $250.00. Thanks, Lor

Hi everyone, This board is quiet lately. The news release yesterday was good even if it isn't showing in the stock price right now, in the long run it will. This is a must read, it will help you understand Noront Resources and why thing are done in the manner they are.

This info is from the agora board.

i have never talked with anyone at noront so these are strictly my own thoughts based on many years of trading and investing and many hundreds of hours of research on the james bay lowlands and related firms in the area.
everyone should do their own due diligence and not believe anything they read without checking out other sources, then take responsibility for your trades and your own actions.
i have seen situations like noronts double eagle before. here is what can go wrong and why i think we are seeing some of the management actions, which if i am correct, are protecting the current shareholders.
if you are a junior mining company and you find the proverbial "lucky strike" the question for the management of the firm is:
how do i realize the maximum value of the find before the firm is taken over by a major at to low of a price relative to what is about to be found?
since my research indicates that many times nickel is found in multiple pods, and everyone in the industry knows this, i am betting (via share purchases including some fairly recent additions at over $4.00. also fyi i have never sold a single share of noront and have held noront since right after the windfall strike) that more pods will show up.
the big risk to a junior is a major buys you out before you prove up a major find.
does noront have a major find? only the drills will tell. i know which way i am betting. and i have purchased numerous other firms shares in the area just to spread my bet (believe me, i did much more research then this simplistic explanation but you get the idea).
noront doing a large number of joint ventures will allow lots of drills to punch lots of holes once the surveys are analyzed. this gives noront more then 50% of everything found on their staked claims since they control 50% of the joint venture plus own shares in the jv firms.
the critical time factor, as i recall, noront has something like 90 days after a takeover solicitation to in essence determine its own fate (ie auction itself).
if noront or its jv partners hit a large amount of new pods guess what happens to the share price! then noront has a brief amount of time to further delineate and infill where needed to further prove up the resource to maximize value.
i am guessing that noront management is walking a careful tightrope of letting out enough info to keep the price from cratering yet holding off for a massive coordinated drill assault by noront and all of the joint ventures over a very short period of time. news will fly big time when that occurs (good or bad). from what i have read about the survey and analysis we are likely 30 or 60 days till the massive drill attack time point. then within another 60 or so days LOTS of visuals will be available. if we hit massive sulphides and the black water flows at numerous locations, we will all be very happy.
also, of major note. the private placement by noront brought in some of the best and smartest mining people in the world. ie rob mcewen, pierre lassonde, and sheldon inwentash's pinetree capital, part of "THE BIG 4", as i dubbed the group, that made a big private placement investment in macdonald mines (bmk) after the double eagle find and just as importantly some of "THE BIG 4" have business ties with diagnos inc (adk), the company that helps locate prospective drill locations among other things which it would serve your time, i believe quite well, to learn more about this firm - diagnos inc, and what it does and what it might be doing in the mcfaulds lake area. you can not get a better vote of confidence and confirmation of potential then having mcewan and lassonde on board as noront investors. (you can read my prior posts on "THE BIG 4" to understand their extreme signifigance.)
i am quite comfortable with noront so far, impatient yes, but still fine with what i have seen.
be right and sit tight,
unfortunately noront just require patience and that is wearing a bit thin on all of us. Noront mgmt appears to be doing all they can and making the correct decisions so nothing to do but wait it out.
None of the area plays have an incentive to prove up a "small" part of their resource and then get picked off by a major in the early stages of this game. the comments about how friedland had this same worry about getting picked off by a major to early in the game (a very logical worry) with the voiseys bay deposit is a great analogy.
any firm that thinks they have the mother lode is trying to balance their efforts to get the most for their shareholders, which means proving up in the shortest time frame possible. easy to say, hard to do.
all the best,
jsq

Thanks!

Been researching some other Canadian miners based on a recent thesis of mine. Thought this board may be useful for my DD. Looking at Anglo Minerals and/or Potash One (AGOGF, KCLOF on the pinks, ALM, KCL on TSX-V). Seems only KCL has a board right now.

NOSOF held up good this week. I'm going on Vacation tomorrow (Sat.) and won't have access to a computer until next Sat. I'm hoping for the same results as Lovetowin had while he was on vacation. (NOSOF had a nice run up) I'll be going from snow storm to sunny Florida. If anything exciting goes on with Noront please update this board or it will take me 2 days to go through all the post on the agora board. Have a great week everyone and bring on the 43 -101 results & DE2 discovery:toast:! Thats NOT to much to ask for while I'm away.

Lor, have a great vacation and I will keep up on this board this next week for you. Crazy how yesterday NOT goes up and NOSOF goes down big but, today, NOT goes even and we go up .03 cents. Crazy to figure. Lor, I have been trying to figure out this stock and I would like to stay in until it gets bought out if that happens. I have about 7,000 shares and would help out alot for my retirement in 12 years if we can make some great money on the buyout. We will all just have to see how this plays out but, I am hoping at least up to $20 and the big one at maybe $100. We all can dream can't we? Anyway, have a good week and we will wait to next weekend to hear from you. Go NOSOF

Noront Resources Ltd.: EAGLE TWO HAS LANDED
3:25p ET February 25, 2008 (Market Wire)

Noront Resources Ltd. ("Noront") (TSX VENTURE: NOT) is pleased to announce the discovery of a second massive sulphide occurrence located 2 kilometers to the southwest of its Eagle One magmatic massive sulphide occurrence within Noront's 100% owned Double Eagle Project in the McFauld's Lake Area of northeastern Ontario. "We are pleased to announce that semi-massive to massive sulphide mineralization has been encountered about 2 kilometers to the southwest of Eagle One, in what is believed to be a peridotite filled conduit of the Eagle One magmatic massive sulphide occurrence. Our new drill objectives are to focus on this new occurrence and also to complete drill testing several other high-priority geophysical targets within the Double Eagle project area," states Richard Nemis, President and CEO of Noront.

HIGHLIGHTS

- Nickel-copper massive sulphides in a sheared deformation zone hosted by peridotite have been encountered in four holes, located 2 kilometers to the southwest of Eagle One while testing airborne and ground confirmed geophysical anomalies.

EAGLE TWO

This new massive sulphide discovery occurs at the Aerotem Anomaly #2, located approximately 2 kilometers to the southwest of the Eagle One magmatic massive sulphide occurrence. Four holes have intersected massive to semi-massive sulphide mineralization. The rock units encountered at Eagle Two consist of strongly altered peridotite hosting a multi-phased deformation zone containing veins of sulphides ranging from a few centimeters wide to over 3 meters wide. The deformation zone varies in length from 3 meters to 26 meters in the holes drilled to date. The sulphide veins encountered in each hole are composed of pyrrhotite, magnetite, chalcopyrite and pentlandite with variable amounts of talc. Large crystals of pentlandite up to a few millimeters in size are evident in the most recent drill hole (NOT-08-1G8). A detailed account of this new discovery will be press released shortly.

Hole NOT-08-1G2 was drilled at local grid coordinates 32+17E, 5+73N with an azimuth of 155 degrees and initial dip of -50 degrees. After 10.9 meters of overburden and limestone the hole entered a strongly altered peridotite. A mineralized deformation zone was encountered over a length of 29 meters between 39 and 68 meters downhole, comprising a 3 meter section of massive sulphide-magnetite breccia and units of sulphide breccia with widths ranging from a few centimeters to a maximum of 1 meter in length throughout the entire zone. The hole was terminated at 239 meters in an altered peridotite.

Hole NOT-08-1G3 was drilled from the same set-up as 1G2 and the same azimuth but drilled at -65 degrees. After 11 meters of overburden and limestone the hole entered a strongly altered peridotite. The deformation zone was encountered between 43.3 and 46.7 meters (3.4 meters of core length) containing massive pyrrhotite-magnetite with chalcopyrite. Below the massive sulfide intersection, hole 1G3 contained two massive chromitite layers, the upper one being 5 meters thick starting at 123 meters to 128 meters, the lower one being three meters thick, terminating at about 143.7 meters core length.

Hole NOT-08-1G6 was drilled at local coordinates 32+50E, 7+10N at an initial azimuth of 155 degrees and an initial dip of -50 degrees. After 12.1 meters of overburden, the hole entered granodiorite until a depth of 81.5 meters. Following granodiorite, the hole entered strongly altered peridotite until encountering a deformation zone between 113.2 and 131 meters (17.8 meters of core length). Similar mineralization as in holes 1G2 and 1G3 was encountered, composed of sulphide breccia over intervals of a few centimeters up to 0.8 meters. These veins host semi-massive pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and magnetite, and also showed a positive reaction to the DMG nickel test as in the previous holes. Chromitite seams and chromitite domains were encountered in this hole between 248 and 257 meters (9 meters of core length). A thin shear hosted sulphide zone was intersected from 257.5 to 258.2 meters downhole. This hole continued through a series of altered peridotite, non-altered peridotite and serpentinized dunite until its end at 348 meters.

Hole NOT-08-1G8 is being drilled at the same collar location as hole 1G6, with the same azimuth, however the initial dip was increased to -65 degrees. This hole is still underway, and has encountered massive sulphide mineralization between 123 and 130 meters downhole (7 meters of core length) The tenor of mineralization is much stronger in this intersection, this hole continues to test for a down dip extension of the aforementioned chromitite and sulphide zones encountered in holes 1G6 and 1G3. The drill result intersections presented above are not true width. True width determination will be referred to once the resource estimate is completed.

Lor, I hope you maybe can be looking at a computer sooner then this saturday. If you have any sell orders in for NOSOF, you better look to make sure you are not at a price that is going to get you sold out of the play. This is hopefully going to be great news and up, up we go. Long on NOSOF. This is going to get interesting now.

Hi everyone, I had room in my suit case so I brought my computer. Its only took me about 3 hrs to pickup a wireless signal. Lovetowin, I'm scared to log onto any of my important account because I'm not on a secured internet account. I hpoe I don't have a sell order in on my NOSOF. I will have this access until Wed then I'm off to Orlando and see if I can get connected again. The news today was great, can't wait til tomorrow to see what it opens at. Some on the agora board are saying as high as $40.00 per share. I'm so excited, I hope I can sleep tonight. :toast: I don't think we will ever find a stock this exciting or with the opportunity to make this much money off one stock. GO NOSOF Doug your title for this thread hit the nail on the head, way to go & thanks for sharing with us. Lori
