Overhyped compared to what ? AFC North ? Probably the only division that has 2 legit AFC contenders.
Well it was considered to be an amazing division by everyone before the year started. That has blown up in flames

Chargers are basically the same as Ravens, Bengals, Patriots, Titans, Colts for now. Chargers have had easiest Strength of Schedule in the conference.

They're in the mix by default more than anything. They haven't looked nearly as good as people said they would

I had Herbert #2 going in to the Denver game but he didn't look right. Wilson just looks old and slow. He was one of the best a couple years ago.

Using 57 throws to get 238 yards isn't doing best he could do. He made crappy throws and decisions all night long. Burrow would loved to have his offensive line tonight

Burrow has 5 picks all year long breh. He's starting to get back in a groove. I never had him top 3, though he might be now with Rodgers and Brady being as bad as they have
Sometimes you have to take what the defense gives you. And if that was 57 throws to get 24 1st downs , move the chains , control the clock and get a win ,mission accomplished.
Pretty good considering LT out, center out, two other rookies on OL, and five 1st and 20's because of holds.

You're not going to throw for 350 yards every game with 3 TDs. Every game doesn't get dictated by the offense.

I have the Chargers in the top 3 in AFC. Winning games while battling injuries with key players out early in season says alot..Bosa , Allen , and center get back , team will be ready to roll.

Keep forgetting there is 17 games
I see over/under 10 being very close down to the end
More likely under than over

Pretty much goes down too the end with most win totals of 10 or more, especially going over the total.

Could be 3rd, but also could be 7th. There’s not much separating those teams right now. Chargers have been out scored by 11 despite easiest schedule in the NFL

They deserve credit for finding ways to win though especially not at full strength

Yep. We all evaluate teams differently..

Schedule strength can differ week to week , predicting that isn't an exact science. By the end of the season , schedule strength can be turned upside down.
Winning games is the bottom line.

Chargers are a weird team b/c they play 8 or 9 home games a year but only have home field advantage in maybe 2 or 3 games tops?

Plenty of visiting fans

Time for Herbert to sling it all over the place

Seattle's defense is awful. Time to let it rip

Seattle d backs are playing much better than anyone thought they would..the rookie Tiriq Woolen is a stud.
Seattle beat them up in the ground

Herbert still hasn't done shit
Under .500 career record and no playoffs
No supposed elite QB should be in that situation
I don't wanna hear his team isn't good enough

His team has been way overrated though

Herbert himself has been very good but not great. He’s had a couple bad games in a row now

Team is just snakebit with injuries last couple of years.

With that being said , what's important is to be jelling in 2nd half the year leading into December. Don't have to look any further than last year to see the teams that made a deep run , were all struggling going into 2nd half of the season and later.

that is true to some extent

Cincy was 7-6 after their loss to the Niners last year. Then got hot

Chargers have missed opportunities against a cupcake schedule though . A bit concerning how bad their d has been against the run

Rams were behind AZ by two games midway thru season , Chiefs weren't playing well, Niners were looking like they were going to miss the playoffs, Bengals were struggling, no lock to make playoffs late either.

Chargers probably needed a cupcake schedule early just to get to 4-3 with the injuries they've had. Pro Bowl LT gone ,Bosa out since week 1, Allen out 5 games , Guyton done for the season , center out a few games. Probably missed a few others. Been brutal. Williams and Jackson going down late doesn't look good.. Injuries are just a fact of life in the NFL.. Easier indicator than just using catch words like overrated and hype.
