Ok I think I can finally ask a question which can get a response. If DK is offering $2200 NOW to cash in the bet - is there any guaranteed way of placing a bet that will - no matter what happens for the rest of the playoffs - net $2201 or MORE in guaranteed profit - and if there is - what is the MAXIMUM guarantee one can get by placing which bet. THAT IS ALL I AM ASKING. If its not possible just say it's not possible but not one person has answered my question. And let me be honest: I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO FIGURE THIS OUT. THAT IS WHY I AM ASKING YOU GUYS FOR HELP. My friend is just going to let Miami ride to the finals at this point - but that doesn't negate the fact that I still haven't got an answer to the hedge question.

Take Boston on the ML for game 3 to win $65. Go from there....

I'll say right now(as i have numerous times) hedging of any sort is a fools errand. Unless your buddy needs the money not to be killed and plans to never make a bet again in his life.

Does your buddy even have the cash on hand to do this stuff? It was a $65 bet and now i see you were talking about putting 4k on boston(theoretically) to hedge.

This $65 bet seems like a last "fuck it" dart throw as $65 is a pretty strange number to bet. (imo)

I think your question has been answered numerous times but you seem to want more. You have only 2 choices. Let it ride to the finals or take the $2200. Simple as that.

the DK buyout option is a ripoff, if you dont have the funds to hedge then it might be a last resort but there is a reason they offer a buyout option

usually 10-15% worst of it

FDs is a little better usually

Not mine but my buddies. He put $1250 on Boston to win championship at +460 after game 5 I think it was. Then he put around $2500 on Denver to win championship at -130.
Can’t believe Miami might choke this.

Because most new posters usually do, usually ghosts of the past. So, let’s say of the 20 NBA teams entered he futures 8 (ton)more @$65 $ $520 - Lakers,Warriors,76ers,Bucks,Grizzlies,Kings,Suns ,Cavs. leaves him with bets above $100 or so potential profit. Don’t think he needs help hedging, needs help limiting exposure future bets. Hey, I suck at betting and should not be giving advice, but wanted to break down the thread.
