Polio is different. And it is different type of vaccine. Polio vaccine works. Polio doesn't mutate. Things like influenza, sarscov2 kind viruses, you cannot get rid with vaccines...they will always be there even if you get vaccinated and there will be new variants. Once you take the vaccine, you will become depended on it and you will need every year, especially this new vaccine which doesn't work like traditional vaccine. The best way to prepare for things like influenza (flu) or sarscov2 (covid) is to take care of you immune sytem by changing your lifestyle to healthy one. This vaccine should be last resort and should be experimented only on the very vulnerable who are immunocompromised and are at high risk of dying from things like influenza or sarscov2.
You are looking at things retrospectively, and didn't answer the question as to what would have occurred with the population
over time of there was no vaccine.
You are entitled to your opinions and sources as I am mine, all of which disagree with your assessment of the importance and need for the vaccine.
Imo one has a better chance of getting struck by lightning than dying or even suffering if they get the vaccination.
Obviously this is not worth debating as I am not going to change your mind and more than you are mine.
Also and to be fair, as a person who is 76 and in very good health, I think my decision for myself makes even more good sense.
