that's a "" A Soft Target""...
now put in the mix...
one driver and the other guy..
drops off the other...circles around....and then throw in a cold place
where you can hide any and all weapons in your coat...
Damn, that could be catastrophic for many...
I'm just amazed it hasn't.. (again I've been flying over 50+ years)...

I read this line on occasion and have to say, I just don't think it's true at all. Think people are so saturated these days with bad news on a 24 hours news cycle, they just start assuming this is the world in which we live.
I don't see that at all.
Do we have bad things going on around the world? Sure we do. Is it the norm? Don't think so.
We have people doing good things all over the place. People volunteering like crazy. Athletes amazing us every night on our television. I think one just has to choose sometimes to shut the tv down, get off the laptop or phone and just see what's going on out there in society.
Think we'd all be surprised.
Checking guns is nothing new at all. Happens 1,000's of times literally every single day and its not hard to do. It has to be in a locked box and unloaded. Different airlines have different rules as to how much ammo you can take. I generally check my gun when I travel, its not close to as big of a deal as you would think it would be. Literally you tell the ticket agent that you would like to declare a firearm. He then might ask you a question or two. they will take out a yellow or orange or whatever piece of paper that you sign, saying that the gun is unloaded ect and then they place that tag either in the box with the gun or on top of the box or in the top of the luggage. Most of the time they don't even look at or inspect the gun in any way shape or form. And no it doesn't go off to a separate part of the airport or anything, it comes out on the baggage claim just like everybody else's bags.

So they can shine a flashlight up your asshole, make you take off your shoes and use your balls like a punching bag when entering the airport.... but you are free to pack a weapon on the plane and after you get off it, you can just go load it in the bathroom and blow people's heads off?

This is called common sense. They should have a separate pick up location for weapons.... NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING AIRPORT.

It`s bad news but its the facts.......Today a airport, 2 months ago a night club in Orlando, Planting bombs in New York, Planting bombs in Boston, Shooting in a movie theater in Colorado/Louisiana, School shooting in Connecticut,Mall in Minnesota,San Bernadino,etc,etc.
I can block this shit out and put on a football game.....But then again i want to know what`s happening on my home turf.
It`s only the beginning.....The worst is yet too come.....Sad but true.

OK so let me ask you this. Say I'm flying to Michigan to go hunting. How do you suppose I get my rifle there if I can't check it onto a plane? Come on man, literally millions of times a year citizens check a firearm in the airport. One time some wack job that should be publicly hanged commits a horrible crime and it shouldn't be allowed?
