any play on the game tonight GS?
Delta...I'll probably pass on the game tonight because of the weather front coming into Oklahoma..I just got off the golf course and I had to fight 25-30 mph winds all day..This stuff is probably headed up to Tulsa if it isn't already there..It will probably hamper Tulsa's long ball game ..Which has been their bread and butter all year. If it wasn't for the winds, i would probably be on Tulsa small. Even at this number, because this is statistically the best offense in the country against a bottom 5 offense. I think UCF can keep it close for awhile, because by CUSA standards they have a good defense. But I doubt they can hold Tulsa down for a full game..And they certainly can't trade scores with them. So they'll have to rely on their defense to keep it within the number..If UCF can get a few turnovers then they have a chance to cover. But Tulsa is pretty good in TO margin with a +6. So they protect the ball fairly well...Like I said I like Tulsa..But I think the weather can be a little bit of an equalizer in this game. And make covering the spread a little more difficult...Good luck

Thanks GS, if it's a no play for you, it's a no play for me.

* Plays 3-5 (-2.4)
** Plays 6-3 (+5.4)
*** Plays 0-3 (-9.9)
**** Plays 0-1 (-4.4)

I have been following you all year long. You make great posts and have great insight into many games. I just was wondering how you came up with being down only 6 units this week. I noticed this in the past as well. If you add up with the juice it seems like you should be down -9.1 for the day and -11.3 for this week. I just thought this was interesting because if we go back and add juice for all your losses I would have to believe you are right around even. Do you get even money on everything?

I have noticed this for a few weeks running now, that posted unit records don't seem to correlate with the reality, assuming that the bets are layed with some form of juice, at worst -110.
I don't think it's fair to post a record that does not factor in juice, as it is misleading. Of course, you may very well bet all games at even or better....i don't know.
Nevertheless, your insights are appreciated and respected. Not a bash, just an observation that I think warrants a query.

If you all would prefer me to not include units won or lost, I can do that..If you would prefer I leave and not post on this board anymore I can do that too..Either way I'm just here to help, not brag about what I've won or lost this season.

Sooners, were not bashing you, you have great insight and even if you accounted or juice you would still be up plenty of units. Its just i dont see why you don't because it is misleading (remember a lot of people on here follow your plays). It kinda seems like this is a soar subject for you or something because i asked you the same question earlier this week and you didn't address it. Not here to say you are a scammer or try to shade your record, its just we were wondering why you dont account for the juice. Like I said, even if you did, you would still be up plenty of units because you have good insight and your a great capper. keep up the work and gl. btw i feel my huskers are brewin up a upset this weekend, jk lol

For God's sakes people. GS has never done anything but post his plays and the won lost record. Why in the F__ are you worried about if juice is included or not included in his record? I don't ever remember him bragging about his record or is he getting paid to have a certain won/loss record. Obviously he puts a great deal of time into his write ups and selections and asks for nothing. I have read and followed his plays for several years and consider this thread to be valuable information. With all the varying mounts of juice you could actualy lay on every bet, it would be a pain to caluclate it and I for one could give a shit if he lists his record with or without juice as I am more interested in the insights that he provides.

Go Sooners and keep up the fantastic work and ignore those who have nothing better to do than to bitch and moan about someone who takes his time to share his insights.

Coldweather may be very wise when it comes to posting records in this part of the forum: He doesn't do it. When a record is posted that's all that someone with a "tailer" mentaility can focus on, rather than weighing the thoughts and opinions that are behind one man's picks.

It's silly that this even comes up.

Why do people clutter up threads with stupid questions? People ask GS enough questions about every game anyway now you want to know why he doesn't figure in juice. Probably because it's a pain in the ass and he would rather focus more on capping and less about whether he's up 35.47859 units or 31.448793574 units. Just look at the record, the write ups, the little stars and take what you want. :103631605

No matter how nice you try to put it, your implying he's trying to make himself look better than he is and if you have been on this forum long enough you'd know it's a stupid question.

Hey GS I hope you don't let some douche bags who have nothing better to do with their time piss you off enough for you to leave, you're very good at what you do and I for one look forward to your picks this week!

Juice definitely needs to be accounted for. Every gambler deals with juice, and one of the hardest parts about winning in gambling is the juice. Juice is why it's simply not good enough to hit 50-52% of your plays. At this point in the season, after 50+ losses on multiple unit plays, to ignore the juice on that many losses/units is not having an accurate record.

The people following these picks on a weekly basis are winning a lot less money than what is being tracked.

That all being said, GoSooners is an asset to the forum. I sincerely doubt he is doing this to mislead people into signing up for his tout service or something because he has shown no previous reason to believe so. It looks more like a guy who lazily keeps a record and wants to do simple 3-1 math. He has a lot of substance in his posts, and many people benefit from his insight - whether they agree or disagree.

I find no fault with the poster(s) that brought up the juice, as they did so in a respectful manner. And I find no ill-intentions on GoSooners' part.

IMO, the record should be adjusted to show people tracking how successful he is while accounting for juice, or the units should be stricken entirely. Either way, looking forward to exchanging information and I hope this does not escalate to something it isnt.

Very simple math shows 61-52, +11.5 units, 54% for those asking.

Let's get back to talking football.

Indeed, certainly didn't want to cause any trouble by asking that question. It was curiosity more than anything else.
Nevertheless, very much appreciate your time spent on the information you share Go sooners. All the best for this week.

The only thing he REALLY needs to do is replace the word units with *. Fact is hes an asset to this forum and there is no need to nitpick.

GoSooners is the man. I don't always agree with his plays, but i love the information he provides. Stop complaining about his units and juice and use him as the asset that he is.

You could go 15-1 and people will pissed because you had 1 loss. I would just put wins and loses and let them figure it out. No matter how much time and work you put in making your picks, there will always be people who will find something they have to bitch about. It"s a no win situation, but there are a lot of us who look forward to your picks. Keep up the good work.

...your new accountant

Sorry GS not trying to hate on anyone or anything that you do. Simply put I am a number cruncher. I saw some numbers that seemed to not make sense and was just making more of an observation than anything. I really respect your picks and more than anything the insight that you give into the entire game of college football. Hope you keep it up and finish the year strong.
