2014, was Anchorage's first documented year in recorded history where there was not a single day with subzero temperatures. This is the craziest winter I've seen here. Had to shovel the driveway once and there is no snow on the roads. If I were a conservative I would say this is evidence of global warming. But I'm smarter than that, lol.

Most of Minnesota and Wisconsin had grass until recently. It rained in Duluth, MN a day before Christmas and most of Duluth area still has grass. Yet I would not use this argument as one to prove climate change. Last year it was balls cold the year before it was 40 here in January. These guys think you can use US current temps as examples yet they don't use Ocean temps. i personally am not an expert on the subject but I have to lean with the experts who are.

NFL Trends - You keep saying that there are people who argue the opposite.. Of coarse there are but the vast vast majority of experts agree in man made climate change. Doesn't make sense? You don't think that people can change the temperature of the environment? Seems logical to me.

So... If man can make the whole earth warmer.

What can we do to make it cooler?

Why don't we just to the complete opposite. Since man can change weather one way, its 100% plausible we can have an effect the other way.

Would love to have Vegas at a cool 90 degrees in the summer.

OK how about this? Put yourself in a room by yourself for one hour and without changing anything to the room keep adding a person every 15 minutes for 4 hours? What is going to happen to that room every 15 minutes?

Your logic is all over the place. There probably is some theoretical way man could cool the Earth down. Whatever that is, it does not change the fact we are burning tons of fossil fuels and dumping billions and billions of tons of CO2 in to the atmosphere. That we know. Global warming is a fact based on basic science. Your red herrings won't change that fact.

Can you show me one James Hansen quote or chart that he "Predicted in the 1980's and 1990's" that's was accurate?

Bet ya cant, cause Ive been looking for almost an hour and I cant find one....

I really don't care. It's 2015.

Yet you put much faith in this global climate "Scientist"..... when not one of his hundreds of predictions has come true or close to being true in almost 30 years.

Educated and informed people do not use phrases such as "complex math"

This imbecile is unbelievably stupid.

Something being complex doesn't mean you don't understand it.

Nice strawman, idiot.

You do not understand what you pasted. Therefore you think it is complex. You are a laughable imbecile who has no capacity for embarrassment.

The fact that you think this is an analogy to Earth is unbelievable.

Of course you're the same person who was linking to the "get the bastards" blog on this topic.

Note: the panel agrees that "the rate of warming over the past 15 years (1998-2012) is smaller than the trend since 1951".

The IPCC can not explain this.

The IPCC can not explain the sea ice expansion.

The IPCC has revised downward their projection of global temperature trends twice.

The idea that these "experts" know what is going on is so laughable only a complete imbecile who's life is posting dumb shit on the Internet from his parent's basement would make such a claim.

They do know exactly why. But the understanding that the Earth is warming is very easily explained and understood by experts.

You are a laughable idiot and pathetic liar

Storch: So far, no one has been able to provide a compelling answer to why climate change seems to be taking a break. We're facing a puzzle. Recent CO2 emissions have actually risen even more steeply than we feared. As a result, according to most climate models, we should have seen temperatures rise by around 0.25 degrees Celsius (0.45 degrees Fahrenheit) over the past 10 years. That hasn't happened. In fact, the increase over the last 15 years was just 0.06 degrees Celsius (0.11 degrees Fahrenheit) -- a value very close to zero. This is a serious scientific problem that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) will have to confront when it presents its next Assessment Report late next year.

Oh, and this would be IPCC Lead Author Hans von Storch

Embarrassing Predictions Haunt the Global-Warming Industry

by Neilio on November 10, 2014 in Bad Policy, Climate History, Corruption, Extreme weather, Failed predictions,Global Cooling, Global Warming ‘Solutions’, IPCC, James Hansen, John Holdren, Junk Science, Loonies, Media Bias, Misguided Leaders, Mythical Consensus, Public Policy, Sea Levels

By: Alex Newman.

It is often said that non-scientists must rely on “expert opinion” to determine whether claims on alleged “catastrophic man-made global warming” are true. Putting aside the fact that there is no global-warming “consensus” among experts, one does not have to be a scientist, or even proficient in science, to be able to review past predictions, and then form an informed opinion regarding the accuracy of those predictions.

Suppose, for example, you regularly watch a local TV weatherman forecast the weather for your area. Would you need a degree in meteorology in order to decide for yourself how reliable, or unreliable, the weatherman’s forecasts are?

Warnings have been issued for many decades now regarding catastrophic climate change that forecasted certain trends or occurrences that we should already have witnessed. Yet such predictions have turned out to be very, very wrong. This was certainly the case with the alarmist predictions of the 1960s and ’70s that man’s activities on Earth were causing a catastrophic cooling trend that would bring on another ice age.

And it is also the case with the more recent claims about catastrophic global warming.

The only sure thing about "global warming" the last 30 years has been the huge flow of cashola Big Climate funnelled into Al Gore scaremongerer pockets.

Just another Big Govt scam that needs to be junked.

Global warming "taking a break"...only in academia. face)(*^%

People in the real world laugh at this imbecility.

You're making stuff up. All of this from fabricating a statement about New York being flooded. We have much better technology and understand now in the 21st century. One dudes predictions from 2 decades ago really doesn't matter to me. Just another logical fallacy attempt by conservatives. Your logic is honestly one of the dumbest on this site, no offense. These are your arguments so far...

1) The climate changed naturally in the past without man so man can't change the climate
2) Dude said New York would be flooded in 20 years (which he didn't) in 1988, and was wrong, therefore Global Warming is not real
3) If we can warm the atmosphere we can cool the atmosphere (first time I heard that and one of the dumbest comments I've heard)

Do you understand why you guys sit on the retard bar and intelligent people don't agree with you?

Actually there's a lot of sure things. Like the Earth is warming at an accelerated rate due to man pumping tons of Co2 in to the atmosphere.

Climate change hasn't taken a break. 2014 was the warmest year in recorded history according to the global means temperature. You are confused by their lack of understanding of why atmospheric temperature has "taken a break".

You are incredibly dumb.

This year will likely be the hottest on record for the planet, with global temperatures 1.03 degrees Fahrenheit higher than the 1961-to-1990 average, according to a new report from the World Meteorological Organization.

This would make 2014 the 38th consecutive year with an anomalously high annual global temperature.

The estimate comes from the WMO's annual compendium on the "Status of the Global Climate." This year's report was released during the U.N. climate talks in Lima, Peru, where diplomats are negotiating a new global climate deal to be signed in Paris next year.

The report uses data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, NASA and the United Kingdom's Met Office. To place the findings in a historical context, scientists usually compare temperatures with "normal" temperatures averaged over a 30-year stretch, usually 1961 to 1990.

You have trouble with basic division. I know you don't understand it, lol. "Global warming math is simple". Can't write better comedy.

It's funny how these retards continue making the same mistakes over and over again. They simply are not smart enough to grasp these complex subjects. Might as well go back to birther nonsense and Benghazi, lol. This is way out of your guys league.

Let's remind them of how dumb they are...
