Rich, I got lambasted for "cheering you on" in your MLB thread. So I better tone it down. Some people don't understand that we all need encouragement at times.

You've done pretty well in college football so far. Let's focus on this, OK?

Look forward to your card. Best of luck! :toast:

Colorado +17, 11 units to win 10

Quite confident in this team because they are more talented than they have shown thus far this year. WVU should win but I think Colorado keeps it close, and I feel pretty strongly about this.

Other plays this week.

I found an offering on Bodog for Oklahoma to win the BCS championship, 20-1.

4 units to win 80

Don't miss out on that one, I think it is a steal

I am in love with this bet, I still feel as though this team is one of the 2 best in the country in terms of talent and cohesiveness, and if they win out I feel like they have a really really good shot to get in the National Championship game.

Oklahoma -7, 11 units to win 10

Again, I think this team is totally for real, and after this week's game I expect that futures value to go down, so get on it now if interested. Miami is not the type of team which bounces back from that defeat in my opinion, and Oklahoma is ROLLING. With or without Bradford, doesn't matter to me, their skill players are ridiculously good and the both O and D lines are veteran laden studs. This team is for real.

UCLA +5, 8.8 units to win 8

Really like this spot because Stanford isn't quite there yet whereas I think UCLA just about is, in terms of truly competing in the Pac 10 elite. Love getting points here.

Boston College +4, 8.8 units to win 8

Boston College has looked awful, but I feel like they will be really up for this game, whereas Florida St. has been playing tough game after tough game, and won't be up for it, in this spot.

Georgia -3, 8.8 units to win 8

Amazing homefield advantage and a vastly overrated LSU team against a hungry Georgia squad. Should be a UGA victory between the hedges.

I think you're completely WRONG about this 2009 edition of the Miami Hurricanes. :nono5:

What makes you think the Canes will just have a "pity party" - "lay down and play dead" as a result of last week's beatdown to VA Tech? :think2:

This is a serious question. Please ellaborate in detail. Thanks in advance.

No problem Incubus. Miami came into Blacksburg last week with their cocky ass peacock feathers flaunting and showing off their plumage. They got their asses handed to them and reality hit them like a ton of bricks. I personally just think a team like Miami, with a bunch of really cocky thugs, are probably pretty disheartened by that loss and it was such a hyped up game, I don't see them getting up for this one like they need to. Even if I had no motivational edge in this game, I'd like Oklahoma because I think they are one of, if not THE, best team in the country...but given that edge, I like this game huge.

VA tech was fired up, the weather conditions were autrocious. Yes, the young Canes were throttled badly in Blacksburg on last Saturday. I would venture to guess Oklahoma would have had trouble there under the same conditions. If you think Oklahoma would have crushed a fired up VA Tech team at home under those conditions, I respectfully beg to differ.

As for the comment that Miami is merely a bunch of really cocky thugs, you don't really know much about HC Randy Shannon, do you? He's a strict disciplinarian. No nonsense whatsoever. He simply will NOT tolerate any of that kind of bullshit.

The cocky thugs UM image you allude to was last seen under former UM headcoach (aka MILKTOAST) Larry Coker's watch. As a result of that 2006 FIU debacle in the Orange Bowl, he was SHITCANNED! These are Shannon's recruits on the 2009 edition of the "U," and he doesn't tolerate "thugs."

With regards to the Canes being disheartened by the loss, Shannon has the team focused this week. Have you been reading the local South Florida media covering their practices this week?

Miami Herald:

Palm Beach Post:

Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinal:

I make it a point to read as much local media covering a team before I make a play on or against them. Just one variable in the selection process. The local beat writers are usually very good and accurate at guaging whether a team is "sleepwalking through practices" and/or "disheartened by a previous loss."

Needless to say, it will be an exciting game. But please let me assure you, Oklahoma will NOT just "steamroll" over this particular group. The "U" simply has too many good atheletes and team speed for this to happen.
Anyway, Rich, good luck with your Oklahoma play. :toast: As you can surmise by the slant of my post, I'm on the Canes +8 -120 (bought the 1/2 point).

One of us will be happy at the end of the game.

Thank you very much for replying to my initial inquiry. Carry on!
