Koeln- Berlin: Koeln pk @ 1.80
this line is overreactin to Berlin s first win since ages last week under new coach Rehagel. Rehagel will have a fighting chance to keep Berlin in league, but still he is dealing with a bad team that is especially weak in away game loosing. even under coach rehagel they lost the first away game 0-4 to a relegation zone team.
Anyway, that jsut to indicated the Berlin is not suddenly a world beater only because the coach has changed.
Koeln went down to the bottom six with a bad spell over the last games. but that was mainly caused by big, big injury and suspension problem in last 5 games. they sometime had only youngesters from the B-team in reserve, podolski was injured for a few game. fellow striker Novakovic was injured for last 3 games and the defense turned completely over with injuries and suspension leading to midfielders playing defense in matches vs. Leverkusen and Hoffenheim.
All this has now changed tottaly for this week:
pdolski is back (already last week, and he made big impact immediately by securing an away point at Hoffenheim). Novakovic is offensive partner will be cak, which drags some focus of Berlin s defense away from podolski. The whole defensive line is back from injuries and suspension for today s game and even the defensive midfield welcome back Pezzoni and Lanig as options.
Koeln didnt have the chance to play with that kind of team during the whole second part of the season. And they were placed 8th in the standing with these players in first half of season.
This combined with the home advantage and the team already back on focus and realizing the fight that is in front of them (as seen in away draw last week) is a great combination vs. a Berlin team, which is definetely not better and with all players available weaker in my opinion.
Even getting the money back with a draw is a tremendous line , which cannot be ignored in this set up.
Muenchen- Hoffenheim no play
it s a pass for me. Muenchen should win, but they will already be fully focused on the upcoming ECL match vs. Basel, so it s a dangerous spot for them.
WOlfsburg- Leverkusen: Leverkusen pk @ 1.90
it seems to be an opportunistic pick, after the 1-7 trashing at Barca. But this match was alread lost before the start and got totally out of hand.
For today s match, i still see a strong Leverkusen which is on an uptrend in league play and dangerous in away games vs .a struggling Wolfsburg team. I simply dont see Leverkusen loosing here.
Gladbach- Freiburg: No play
Gladbach should win, but i dont trust them today. They are flying by momentum and today is a key match to see if they are really a top 4 team this season, after their run got stopped last week by lowly Nuernberg.
I will have a later a play on the late match.
