I have no insight whatsoever as I try very hard to remain unspoiled, but I just have a feeling that we're going to get the ol' one-two punch and the blood bath continues next week.
Even in this universe, it's safe to say that there are characters that aren't going anywhere. Jon Snow, Daenerys, Tyrion, Sansa, Arya are the only ones I can say with any confidence that they will be around until the end. If the bloodshed continues, we could see the deaths of Hodor (Hodor), Rickon, and/or Osha. Other possibilities are Shae or Jamie Lannister and/or the Lady Knight whose name I can't remember.

Personally I think the only one that is untouchable from the character safety standpoint is Tyrion. Daenerys is safe only until she makes it to Kings Landing for a battle. She could easily lose that battle and die IMO....it is just stupid to kill her and her dragons off until at least that point.

The author has shown he's not at all concerned with the conventions of most literary styles, but it wouldn't make any sense to follow her story for so long only to have her die in Westeros.
My theory is that Jon Snow is really a Targaryan and that Dany and Jon will end up ruling together after the dragons defeat the white walkers.

After the long layoff I wasn't sure I'd get into it but I was wrong. This show was just right, not overwhelming and no main characters died. But I disagree with Jon Snow's girl, I can't wait for her to get bumped off, totally annoying. The one thing they left out was the White-Walker? army... should have shown at least a glimpse of them advancing.
