No doubt exploited17 seems a little soft when someone has an alternative idea. No discussion with them. The old angry white dude shaking his fist “he deserves the electric chair”. LoL cute guy.
Come on for real you’re using stereo types . Take the skin color out of the equation and you got a stupid young man acting in a way he shouldn’t. I would think the authorities would look at this situation and come to their own conclusion. If there’s enough evidence to throw the book then they should. Looked pretty reckless to me from the video but I’m no expert. If this was your kid could you say yeah that was clearly an accident with zero intent? People die everyday from stupid shit but now we need to give out Darwin awards for accidental killings?

I’ve stood firm it was a terrible accident however severe punishment should be looked at and possible option. I also said have some compassion for a guy that made a terrible mistake. I was told that opinion was dumb by the person who ask for the opinion in the first place??? Race has nothing to do with it. Maybe it’s better if I say exploited17 is the crusty old man shaking his fist “Give him the chair”. That better?

WTF are you even talking about? It is obvious he is guilty. I don't have to like your opinion. You understand that right? We are discussing something. If you believe people who say he sho;ldn't be punished are dumb so be it but imo your opinion is soft and dumb. "Have compassion fot someone who made a terrible mistake"
Who actually believes that?

Your lack of response is enough. If that was one of your family members I am sure you would have compassion for his "mistake" lol
A close family member was killed by a drunk driver. He went to prison and we forgave the man as a family. So I can relate and my personal feelings and experience to go on.
You have no tie whatsoever to the hockey incident or any of the parties involved yet you’re ready to send the man away for life. Don’t let your emotions make you do and say dumb things.

Your reply of “that’s a dumb opinion” speaks for itself.

Did I say for life? NO
Drunk driving is also different. And you may have moved on but they were punished.

I never said he shouldn’t be punished either. So let’s do this. I think the man deserves lifetime hockey ban(obviously) and if charged and convicted I’d be good with 12-24 months.

my only argument with your rationale here is he wasn't impaired he was sober playing hockey zero impairment . in my mind there's a difference malicious intent obviously murder wasn't premeditated however he knew what he was going to do outside of killing him in my opinion. could I forgive him possibly but this isn't confession it's the real world and any rationale human being would be accountable for there actions

Clearly manslaughter! The A-hole intended to harm the victim and not to kill him, textbook case of manslaughter! Kicking someone in the head/neck, IN A NONE KICKING SPORT, the intent is clearly to inflict harm, for there is no other reason to kick a human being in the head!

Why would he be charged for murder here?
lol
You don't think it was intentional?
Maybe not intended to kill but obviously you intentionally kick someone high with a blade and they die you are guilty of battery/negligent homicide/ something.

I honestly don’t think it was his intention to get his skate up. Absolutely dirty hit. But if you’ve ever been ice skating or played and ice hockey it’s tough to get your skates that high anyway.
