dumb error on the cops part. At least the guy is still alive. He gets to shot the cop in the leg and call it even?

In this situation, I don't see how he panics.....I would say evil & trigger happy.....makes you wonder how long these senseless shootings have been going on when we didn't have video cameras. I'm assuming its always been happening, its just technology finally caught up with the times.

These cameras can also help cops as well.

what makes you think evil? With his "I don't know" response, its more likely his adrenaline was flowing and some people do not know how to handle it. Probably pulled the trigger without realizing it.

WASHINGTON — A coalition of black racial-justice organizations started a series of coordinated demonstrations in more than a dozen cities across the United States on Thursday to protest police shootings.

One of the earliest to kickoff the Movement for Black Lives demonstrations was in Washington, D.C. where a small, mostly white, crowd stood near the entrance of the Office of Police Complaints holding signs printed with “Black Lives Matter” and “Stop Killing Black People.”

Most came to the protest with Showing Up for Racial Justice, an organization that encourages white people to rally around social justice causes, especially those related to race in America. The white protesters would not speak on the record, saying they did not want white voices to drown out the concerns of the black activists they aimed to support.

One organizer from another group, the Stop Police Terror Project, thanked the crowd for coming out.

“We have to move beyond being allies to being comrades in this struggle,” Sean Blackmon said into a megaphone aimed at the crowd of protesters. “The police are an institution that investigates itself and finds itself not guilty as a matter of habit.”

Mr. Blackmon said he was happy to see white residents among the protesters. “Black people don’t have a monopoly on suffering,” he said. “Black people don’t have a monopoly on being killed by police.”

Clashes have taken place for a second night in the French town of Beaumont-sur-Oise following the death of a young black man in police custody.

Petrol bombs were thrown at officers and an attempt was made to burn down the town hall. Eight arrests were made.

Police say Adama Traore suffered a heart attack on Tuesday after he was detained in the town north of Paris.
But family and friends say he was healthy and was "beaten to death". An autopsy will take place on Thursday.

In 2005 the deaths of two teenagers who were electrocuted after hiding in an electricity substation while attempting to avoid arrest sparked weeks of rioting across the country.

1.Shit happens, but what gets me is that how the police forces around the country protect the bad apples. Almost impossible to get fired and/or charged with a crime for a cop. Just remove the bad apples please.
Having a badge is not a license to kill

2. At least this cop shot for the leg. In many other countries cops are trained to shoot at the leg. Why cant that be the case in the US? The suspect will be incapacitated and will not die. Seems like a win/win to me

919, I think people are blind to all the problems people create for themselves by creating victims

of course there's racism, the vast majority of people are not racists and those that tend to be the most racists are those screaming racism all the time

be proud of who you are, do the right thing, don't be concerned with what small minds think, become educated, be a father and work hard

that's what the message should be, even an African American can become POTUS, that's what the message should be

instead the message is police officers throughout this country are racists, selfish white men are holding you down, punish your enemies.............................it makes me vomit, I can't stand bullshit and liars and people dividing the nation to advance their own political careers

we'll never have a color blind society as long as we keep injecting race into everything, and it's the democrats who keep doing that by design

divide and conquer, it's their life's blood
Willie, you seem like a good guy. I think we can just agree to disagree on this as neither of us our likely to change our minds. Good health to you and yours.

This isn't anything new, it's just on video and broadcast into your home now.

If anything cops are much, much more careful now because of increased surveillance. Nobody wants to ruin their career shooting someone by accident like this guy did.

How come we don't see videos posted when cops buy a lady groceries or help a kid across the street?

You are blind to the view of the minorities that have a history of being treated poorly by the majority...while the majority also wields all of the power and influence.

What minorities are you talking about? Jews, Asians in North American, Sikhs, Hindus?
