Easy to forget Browning was considered one of the best players in the NCAA in 2016.

Heisman voting 2016.

Another NFL week, another game reinforcing JoeyB as a run-of-the-mill "system QB"

Jake Browning: 18/24 - 275yards - 2 TD - 1 INT

Final score - 34-14

What is this kid making, less than a 1m? LOL

Once again, proving JoeyB's redundancy with that anchor of a contract.

Not quite Ohtani-like insanity, but definitely in the same stratosphere, although in many ways worse because the NFL has a hard cap.

If Burrow plays that is a 42-7 game

Yes Browning had an arm issue after college which kept him undrafted

That’s why his deep ball sucks. Threw one of the worst deep balls today but thankfully Tee was so wide open and tracked it down

Browning's numbers are better this season and JoeyB is too fragile to be tagged "franchise QB"

All teams have to do is blitz the shit out of him and he has no answers (assuming he survives) like Chiefs did in the AFC Championship last year.

Eventually, more teams will catch on to this and his stock will drop even more.

Oh okay so what are the Bengals going to do in the offseason?

You’ve praised their front office (which is lol), so what do you think happens?

Browning has been nice but he has clear limitations. Can’t throw deep, has gotten away with some bad throws in 2/3 games and got most of his yardage on screen passes. Colts have a very bad pass defense, Burrow may have hit 300 in the first half

Not to mention a horrible pick 6 that kept Colts in the game

Amazing what happens when you have weapons like Chase and Higgins, who make ANY QB look good, especially on the stats sheet.

I wonder if some desperate team for a QB will throw a pile of money at Browning thinking this guy is their answer, only for him to regress (without those weapons). I could see that...I could definitely see that.

I hope not

I’d be happy to keep him as the #2 option

Bengals have team control over Browning for next year

So they can keep him as a backup for cheap if the want

Unlikely, but your point isn't as hyperbolic as it sounds.

Fun Stat of the Day:

The Kansas City Chiefs lead the league in dropped passes and look to be in a tailspin losing 4 out of their last 6 games.

What's a "franchise QB" to do if his receivers can't catch the damn ball?!?!

Imagine Patrick Mahomes with Chase and Higgins...just imagine.

Cigar Joe sucks.

Tee has a major case of the drops this year and has been injury-prone

A cursory look at Receiving Yards places Boyd ahead of Higgins this season, mostly due to injuries. However, year by year, even with Higgins healthy, he's never far behind with Joe Mixon champing at the bit of those two.

An embarrassment of riches for any Bengals QB.
