This is what I mean when I say progressives lie to themselves.

You can find any number of examples of either black cops killing unarmed white teens or other uses of lethal police force against white people. The protesters don't care about that and don't want to hear it, because in their minds...they'd much rather pretend this only happens to black people. That fits their fantasy narrative that the justice system is stacked against them and the entire country was built on racism...whatever the hell that means. It's much harder to accept the reality that Americans are pretty much responsible for their own actions and there really isn't some invisible boogeyman out to get them.

How the hell can you reason with someone who not only invents their own reality, but chooses to live their life by it?

Here's one particular tool Rembert Browne...he writes crappy race-baiting columns on ESPN once in a while and predictably had a lot to say about last night. This one stood out to me as it came before the verdict:

I wasn't believing or "rooting" for anything besides justice being done. That means real justice, btw...not some cooked up social standard. Just for comparison's sake though, how many white people were hoping Casey Anthony would get off for no other reason than the color of her skin? And where were they last night when they really needed them. And the Gov says this is not political. Tell that to the people whose businesses were burned and looted. Obama and Holder obviously exerted some power over the Dem Gov and now the Rep Lt Gov is calling him to task. My Guard Unit was activated for the riots in Newark in 1967, I had a feeling thatmight happen and was already to sneak down to the Jersey Shore to party for the weekend. It was about 5 years out of high school & this old friend who I played football with in highschool
with was a Lt.in the guard, I forgot to tell dad if he calls to say I left for the weekend, so he calls & dad says Zeke's on the phone,
the gig was up I answered and he said we're activated, get to the armory quick. So we had over 1000 guys in our unit and the smart guys were alreday at the shore only about 250 of us were at Newark for the first day. Earlier I saw the photo of a bleeding guardsmen
at Watts in LA on the cover of LIFE Magazine & I wasn't happy about my situation.

We were activated for 3 days, had live ammo only one day, I slept on the street of Springfield Ave one night & at the end of our mission I'll always remember I got a check for $17. We were instructed that we would be taunted but not to respond, The AA's who were rioting
would come up to us see our nametags right down our names & say we'll get you tonight. It was no fun 23 blacks died in the riots but no guardsmen. Got off a few rounds somebody would yell 'sniper on the 2nd floor corner building or something like that' and we'd all
fire our M14's. Many business were recked some of the guradsmen I was with did some looting of the stores that were broken into but all they really got were sloppy seconds.

It's noteworthy that of the 1000 guys in our unit there were no blacks, things were different then. One of the recommendations after the riots was that the National Guard had to be intergrated, by the time it was I received my honorable discharge,
