Glad to see Aki and Guesser with sane viewpoints here.

Man, I don't like this race based bs.

Don't get carried away Jim. Once in a blue moon Obama acts in the best interest of America's security, and due to that Guesser resorts to sloganeering "Warmonger In Chief" in every post.

Yea, not perfect with that Warmonger stuff, but for the purpose of this thread he's damned right that Obama should have been a peacekeeper. Of course, in my opinion, he and Holder totally missed the leadership points that I would have hoped for.

I tried so hard to find something.... any reason to admire Obama. I never found a single one.

Happy Thanksgiving to you Jim.

Likewise Scott.

I almost got into a fistfight at the track on Friday when someone wanted to tell me an Obama joke. I told him that I didn't want to hear it. He persisted that it was just a joke about immigration. I said that I didn't want to hear it. I was seething at Obama for his abuse of the Presidency the night before when he pardoned the 5 million illegals. Another guy jumped in screaming at me, what's the matter with Obama? He went on to ask about my 401K and the price of energy. To abbreviate this some I told him that Obama had nothing to do with the rise in the stock market, and that energy prices had fallen despite Obama, not because of any of his policies. The guy shut up.

Barrack has shamed the office of the Presidency in so many ways. I could go on for hours.

Happy Thanksgiving Scott. Everything OK? Haven't seen you around.

G-d Bless America. Justice was served. Now it's up to the "leaders" to keep the peace, and arrest any knucklehead rable rousers that try and use this to cause trouble.

Jim imagine if you went back to that racetrack every Friday and had that same argument with that same guy. Would that be fruitful or worth your time? That's what this place is like. We nod heads with the people we agree with and futilely try to persuade those with whom we disagree. And minds rarely change. So then it becomes personal and feuds develop. There are sane people here on both the left and right, although many will disagree with that. Sane or not most people won't budge off an opinion. It's not that they're insane, just thick-headed. Yet there are people here with extreme views who are just plum loco. And then there are others who just love to agitate. Time is the single most dominant force in the universe. How much of it should a healthy mind spend in a place like this? Conclusion: Less

Right and good decision not to indict. Ferguson PD could not have handled this any worse than they have handled it so far. Leaving an 18 year old young man/teenager in the middle of the road uncovered and unattended to for four hours like he was an animal was an extremely poor decision. I don't have a son that age but just thinking about that pisses me off.

The Ferguson PD needs to be investigated about the many mistakes they made after the shooting occurred. These mistakes and the media hype has brought us to this point.

Glad there was no indictment, it was the right call, Wilson did what he had to do and had every right to use deadly force but the Ferguson PD needs a definite shake up.

Fuck every lame ass protester in Ferguson tonight.

What, should we start deciding case verdicts based on how we believe the public will react instead of actual evidence?

The prosecuting attorney laid it all out step by step. "Medical experts conducted research, then concluded a charge of murder was not warranted." End of story, thanks for playing. Except the ghetto trash protesters couldn't give a shit about any evidence, and the disgusting filth in the media is doing nothing but fanning flames and trying to piss off rioters even ore to sensationalize their stories as much as possible.

[h=3]STATEMENT FROM MICHAEL BROWN'S FAMILY:[/h]We are profoundly disappointed that the killer of our child will not face the consequence of his actions.
While we understand that many others share our pain, we ask that you channel your frustration in ways that will make a positive change. We need to work together to fix the system that allowed this to happen.
Join with us in our campaign to ensure that every police officer working the streets in this country wears a body camera.
We respectfully ask that you please keep your protests peaceful. Answering violence with violence is not the appropriate reaction.
Let's not just make noise, let's make a difference.

[h=3]OFFICER DARREN WILSON'S STATEMENT FOLLOWING THE JURY'S VERDICT [/h]'Today, a St. Louis County grand jury released its decision that no charges would be filed in the case involving Officer Darren Wilson.
'From the onset, we have maintained and the grand jury agreed that Officer Wilson’s actions on August 9 were in accordance with the laws and regulations that govern the procedures of an officer.
'In a case of this magnitude, a team of prosecutors rightfully presented evidence to this St. Louis County grand jury.
'This group of citizens, drawn at random from the community, listened to witnesses and heard all the evidence in the case.
'Based on the evidence and witness testimony, the grand jury collectively determined there was no basis for criminal charges against Officer Wilson.
'Law enforcement personnel must frequently make split-second and difficult decisions. Officer Wilson followed his training and followed the law.
'We recognize that many people will want to second-guess the grand jury’s decision. We would encourage anyone who wants to express an opinion do so in a respectful and peaceful manner.
'On a side note, Officer Wilson would like to thank those who have stood by his side throughout the process. This continued support is greatly appreciated by Officer Wilson and his family.
'Moving forward, any commentary on this matter will be done in the appropriate venue and not through the media.'
