If you agree with his post them what are you against when it comes to DFS

Because it is a marketing ploy. Scam city. Set up for them to be the only real winners. Of course you have the small 1% of people who bet thousands and win because their competition is not 4929499293959382 people lol. There's a good chance that when someone tells you they make a lot of money off of fanduel. .they are lying.

It is more fun than anything. But the fact that they advertise 1000 milloon billion gauranteed prizes bullshit that i think is not true or that they make their own money back by registering names mid games. Not my cup of tea

time= money. and the time consumed on daily fantasy leagues are not worth the small return in daily cash in my opinion. I not only do not like it, but it is a scam. I played everyday for a week and got tired of winning $16 when it told me I was projected to win $40. Not worth the time and if you miss on one player who blows up then you lose that day. They advertise it like a get rich quick scheme to try to get you locked in. The only REAL winners here is fanduel. They try to get you locked in because they make a rake like poker off of EVERY lineup submitted. lol

someone lost money on fanduel

Too bad the IRS doesn't share that sentiment of yours.

How much revenue you think they would lose if sports betting become legal? I think you have to consider that when you value that company.

Not much since a lot of people are playing $1 games trying to strike big.

Obviously someone is winning in it. Try playing higher stakes 50/50 games, then roll the profits from that. I think a lot of the better players will play in 20-50 leagues and hope to win one outright, take a few top 5's that pay well.

It would only help as the across the board legalization of sports betting would just raise interest and legitimize their business even more.

There is a big difference in gambling on player performance vs teams covering a pointspread. A player won't damage his stats in a fanduel league. A player could throw a game if it is legal to bet on a pointspread. Thats how the leagues will look at it.

Once I get a few small conf QBs with high projections under my wing we'll see about that.

Sports betting is a far more passive activity than DFS and thus a lot more people could do it if it was legal.

Totally agree.

Here are some interesting facts about these sites - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1AgyozaET8BQTM0T016MnBLLUE/view

Paul Charchian @PaulCharchian · Jan 16

Good data from @FanDuel's Nigel Eccels: Only 19% of daily players play poker. It's not a substitute for gambling.

Eric Fisher @EricFisherSBJ · Jan 16

.@fanduel median player deposit $25. 62 pct of entries $1 or $2. Most activity around low-stakes games.

Eric Fisher @EricFisherSBJ · Jan 16

Study of @FanDuel data vs season-long fantasy players. The one-day fantasy customer younger, more male, more educated and more affluent

Yeah I linked the same document in the thread.

Page 5 is funny as hell though. My favorite part is the guy checking his tinder and he has no matches? really the hypothetical dude in that story isn't getting any dates?
