no tears need to be shed here...two black men carrying guns get into a scrape..... what could possible go wrong ? as long as no kids got shot and no school was involved.....no biggy.. carry on...

Come on dude. A married guy with three kids lost his life for what? He got shot in the back.

If you can't genuinely feel bad about that as a tragedy, you need to reevaluate some things.

Um, this part:

Payton told USA Today Sports. "It was designed back during World War I. And this thing just stops people. It will kill someone within four or five seconds after they are struck. You bleed out. After the first shot, he took three more in his back. ... We could go online and get 10 of them and have them shipped to our house tomorrow.

Is complete fabrication. It is untrue, you can't do that in America.

So of course you 2 buffoons are clapping.

Unreal how someone supposedly as smart as Sean Payton is as clueless as he is on this. I will be interested to see if the idiot who shot Smith bought his gun legally let alone over the internet which is not possible. This from an article about the shooting:

Hayes has been previously arrested on charges of being in possession of an illegal firearm. Shocker

It would appear that Snoop is unaware of the Dark Net and/or general online avenues to purchase all manner of illegal items - notably drugs and weapons.

Such purchases are routinely packaged in standard weights of a few pounds at most and shipped nationwide w essentially no inhibition by authorities. The major carriers USPS, UPS and FedEx along with several dozen others transport millions of packages per week in the 5lb and under weight class and it is absurd to suggest that anything less than 99% make it to their destination without interference.

Could Snoop successfully make such a purchase? Doubtful, as is the case for most of us. But those who wish to buy and sell weapons or drugs illegally have little to impede them provided they use but a modicum of common sense when doing their business

So ironically, even though Payton correctly asserts that guns can be purchased via internet communications and successfully shipped most anywhere in the USA, it is equally absurd to suggest we "change the laws to stop such traffic".

No laws can provide significant impediment to Americans successfully exchanging private purchases when such purchases involve items that can be easily packaged in small physical sizes. Even if it takes multiple packages to move multiple items, no law will put much of any kind of dent in private transactions between consenting adult Americans.

The violence stops when people choose to stop behaving with violence. Guns are at most an ancillary and mostly irrelevant side bar

Gotta agree here....It sucks and it sucks even more that he got shot in the back and he had a fam BUT...it happens all the time and it seems like the shooter had a background of violence too. RIP

It's not about "spending time" feeling bad man. I just do feel bad. Anytime someone dies at the hands of another, it's a tragedy in my view and didn't have to happen. How can't you not feel sympathy toward's Smith's wife and kids?

Hey retard: You may want to learn to read. See stupid, Payton implied t is legal to get "10 of them" shipped to you. Further, getting 10 of them shipped to you is not something that takes place in America.

You understand what those words mean, right?

Otherwise, you continually referring to me as snoop is just bizarre. It is projection from someone who uses 2 handles here.

You are a complete idiot and frankly a normal person would be embarrassed to behave here as you do. But you, you'll press on.

Payton didn't "correctly assert" anything, you ignorant clown.

Anyway, can you walk us through the mental process you go through when you decide to comment as barman vs. when you use the Sgt username? This would be rather interesting....

It would be impossible to feel bad every time this happens because it happens all the time..there is not enough time of the day to sit back, reflect, and feel bad for each of these circumstances. .I'm sure I would feel bad if I was closer to the situation... but unfortunately this is every day life..

who even cares that he once played football ! once these situations develop, and the dust settles, we usually find that the person or persons are not what they appeared to be ..it happens time after time...

Smiths wife ? she got shot up for Christ sakes ..maybe we have a case to be made here that she and the kids are now better off...You can't be driving around town packing , getting into altercations with thugs and expect good results...sooner or later it might have been even worse....kids in the car ? who all knows what's going on behind the scenes..

So your saying live your life as a pussy? And turn your shoulder every time there's a conflict? Smith was drunk first off. Clearly this is the first time this has happened or else smith would be dead twice. Almost every nfl player has heat. Because you never know who is trying to test you or do something to you when you got mad money and are living the life people want to take you down. Riding around with a gun is a normal thing for nfl players, especially living in crime filled cities like new orleans

You don't even know what happened yet. The investigation is ongoing.

I wasn't talking about every time. I'm just talking about this situation with Smith. How can you not feel empathy towards this man's kids knowing what you know now?
