I had a dumpster on my property of a rental property. City called and said it had to be removed that day. I called the dumpster company and they only would remove it when they had been paid. They don't take credit cards. It was an hour away. I overnighted a check. Called the city administrator to let him know. Said he didn't care it had to be removed by 5:00. This is a good example of someone who is peon with authority. He issued a warrant for my arrest and I never knew it.
about 4 months later a police officer in the town I live in pulled me over. Said there was a warrant for my arrest. I could not believe it. I explained it to the police officer. He was a good public employee. He said this is not the norm but he let me drive to an ATM and to the courthouse so I could post bail and leave.
showed up to court and charges dropped. Huge waste of time.
