yeah - i watched the game and it is a friendly but that side isn't beating spain or probably germany - still time but with such a tough group they need to step it up. That first game poland v greece might turn away all the northern america pseudo-fans. I took the under 0.5 for max stakes...well maybe not. Robben can't go right made me laugh...walcott can't go right either...all i want is italy and france out at the group stage...i'll work on a side to cheer for after that - and let's not forget CONCACAF WCQ starts up too....this year Canada could even have the priviledge of finishing last in the final round instead of getting knocked out in this one.

I MADE 2 PLAYS TO WIN IT ALL...I HAVE $250 ITALY AT 15-1 AND $250 GERMANY AT 4-1.WITH LOCAL..LOVE THE EURO CUP...ITALY IS A HOMER PLAY.. THEY DO HAVE A VERY STRONG DEFENSE/ OFFENSE DI NATALE AND THE YOUNGSTER BALOTELLI HAVE TO FIND WAYS TO SCORE GOALS OR ITALY IS TOAST..BUT THE CLASS OF THE FIELD I THINK IS GERMANY..SANTA KLOSE IS OLD BUT HE IS A BEAST.THEY ARE VERY STRONG...I DONT LIKE SPAIN..PORTUGAL CAN BE A SUPRISE LONGSHOT...ANYWAY GL to ALL..CANT WAIT TIL JUNE 8th...LOVE THE EURO CUP...BUT WORLD CUP IS STILL #1...GL FELLAS

only two plays I've made so far are France pk -110 vs England next Saturday and England to get KO'd in group stage +160. France are simply better team right now in better form, England have horrendous record against Sweden, and Ukraine are hosts and won't be easy to beat. looking at jelavic over 0.5 goal but everything i'm reading says he won't be starting so will wait for more info there. Given Huntelaar's scoring record with Holland (31 in 51!) I like his chances to beat the o1.5 goal HC but that's obviously a nasty group to do it in. I'm expecting deep run for France and they would need Benzema to have a monster tourney so looking at him for golden boot and/or o2.5 goals.

yoders you could have given me $250 and i could have punched you in the head 45 times...should feel about the same after the euro...just kidding....italy is in a big mess though...time to ban them from all competetions club and country.

kinda suprise at the opening odds for netherlands v denmark...you can get the -0.75 line for a great price. You have to beat up on denmark to win and although they are a decent side and will no doubt ruin the other 3 chances to qualify. Seems like a 2-0 dutch win to me.

spain -125 - wtf? i like ukraine -0.25 too but nothing yet.

giddy up, sucker bet or not :)

yeah, CTLS, hard to believe that the bumbling Daglish trio (Hendo, ponytail, one foot) make up 1/7 of the field players on this squad. Almost like Hodgson chose his team using the salary charts and not production ones. But then i hear the Nigerian coach only took 11 guys playing in Europe and omitted Odemwingie and J Obi Mikel but included guys at Valerenga and Rangers and Granada so it's not a shock why these national team coaches don't stick around long. After England's soon-to-be group stage exit Hodgson's head will be on the chopping block and for good reason

random Euro thoughts

unwatchable teams: Greece (because they always are) and Ireland (one word...Trapattoni)

my favs: I picked spain for WC2010 but I think they get KO'd in Semis or even Quarters. Simply too many teams with greater motivation that didn't have the grueling years that many of these La Liga boys did. In order I like 1) Germany, 2) France, 3) Holland, 4) Spain, 5) Portugal, 6) Anyone besides England

worst team: certainly Poles and Ukranians are lowest ranked by FIFA but hosts nations rarely get embarrassed so I'll go with Greece. They might not concede more than 3 or 4 in groups but they might not score...at least Ireland have Keane

top outsider: if Portugal can be considered an outsider, and they are expected to get ousted in groups, then you have to go with them. There is not a team in the tourney with outside pressure that Nani and Ronaldo will put on defenders. Their defense isn't so good but they'll score for sure. Then again Portugal are ranked ahead of France who I have getting to at least the semis so I guess they're my true outsider?

worst favorite: England. shocking eh? Spain behind them simply because I question their appetite

worst diver: if France and Holland meet I wonder if Robben and Ribery will just fall down every time they get within 10 yards of each other?

just play under in the greek games even if the over /under is 0...it's tough to score on 11 goalies...agreed roll..they r dregs...the donkeys from ireland are dregs...england has become a laughing stock...i hope my boy in net doesn't get embarrassed...i hate everything fench but how do they not come out of that group unscathed is beyond me, now...group A i find appalling ...have spain v. holland in a rematch...we win this time...and france v. germans n other semis....played germans v. dutch in final at 10-1....dutch v. french..@40-1...($250 on each one)spain v. germans is so cliche`...everyone is betting that...and at 7-1 i pass.... played huntelaar as top scorer fer $100 at 18-1 odds...he plays, he scores...(van der vaart at 66-1 might still be a play)...and the dutch to beat france in the final pays 70-1..so put a hundy on that as well...why not?....yeah, they are quite the homer plays..but it's now or not for a while it may seem with this current group of underachieving dutch(such a redundant phrase..uggh!)..cuz everyone will be two years older heading to play in 100 degrees heat in brasil in 2014.... not saying the youth is poor at all..they are very good actually...but this current team is one of the best assembled dutch teams ever...if only their coach could see the light and play van pussy and huntelaar at the same time..fuck yer son in law van fumble

1) I would suggest comparing Euro cup o/u to Euro cup o/u not to WC o/u as there is not as big of a disparity b/w teams (see below)
2) assuming you meant 2.10 for 2 goal line vs 1.45 for 2.5 line that is nearly same value. basically each quarter goal is approx worth .30 so is equal value. I'd probably suggest taking your best unders as 2 goal lines and parlaying your 3rd/4th best unders at 2.5 line which would pay you the 2.10

last tourney a 2.5 goal line would have yielded 6 under, 2 over in first matches. a 2 line would have been just 3 wins, 3 pushes, 2 losses. In 2nd matches only Greece failed to score with each of the other 15 teams getting at least 1 goal btw.
in 2004 first rounds were split even on 2.5 line with 4o/4u and on 2 line would have been 3u, 1push, 4 over.
2000 tourney opening matches 5 over 2.5, 3 under ... on 2 line just 2 under, 1 push, 5 losses
you'd have to go back to England '96 to see a host of under results. on 2.5 line first round games were 7u, 1o but on 2 line just 3u, 4push, 1o

given that data and my feeling that Ireland and Greece are best unders to play at u2 line, I'd almost consider playing the other 6 matches o2.5 at big "+" odds in singles. I'd say, at worst, you'd go 2-4 and lose half a unit

I'll throw my two cents in here. I posted this in my own thread the other day. I like Netherlands and Portugal to win it all. Both have nice prices attached to them (Netherlands @7 and Portugal @18), and all they need is to squeak into the knockout stage. Germany is far from a lock in beating both Netherlands and Portugal, so there's even the chance that both teams get into the knockout rounds with a nice price attached.

shot in the dark play. today italy coach announced he has no problem if federation wants to pull italy out of euro 2012. match fixing trial starts today and buffon looks to be pretty well fucked with 14 cashed checks for $1.85M from a Parma bookie. given this I don't know if Italians heads are in match especially a friendly playing in switzerland

today - Russia pk 1u +190 over Italy

ps....those were local odds and how stupid do you have to be amid all the controversy of match fixing to be cashing checks from a bookie?

italy looked like shite for what i watch - all 10 mins of it. Russia can't beat lithuania but trash italy...go figure. Good reason to avoid betting friendly...nothing to do with fixed (italy must have liked the payout for 0-3.) but it's all aboot motivation and who knows which games they are really targeting to win. Greece v Poland might make 75% of North Americans tuned out for the whole tournee but some nice 1st round matches.

My buddy guaranteed me a Ukraine win today so time to find him and break a few fingers...or let him by my a couple of beers. GL this weekend if there is anything to bet - baseball? haha
