55 years since England's last glory-- fifty five , lol

Sunday at Wembley for all the marbles

Italy Vs England

should be a cracker. Kudos to Mancini has them playing more attacking. Italy has seen a dramatic fall in soccer both internationaly and league play. Once upon a time Serie A was the top league in Europe, or one could argue it was - those days r long long gone. An Italian team hasnt won Champions League in over a decade. Internationally, stunningly missed the last World Cup.

will be great for either nation.

must watch TV :toast:

Bullshit penalty... but still like the song

Soccer really has to clean up the sport, these guys all act like they've been shot in the legs while running through some neighborhood in Chicago

Cheap penalty kicks in big spots ruins the games, rewarded for acting, much like modern day basketball

Nobody has any pride anymore

On the sandlot they'd be laughed at

Maybe the slightest of touches, but the dude was not in position to score or cause any danger
I always thought pk's should be reserved for fouls that prevented a reasonable chance at a goal scoring opportunity.
(dude was boxed in, and there was another Danish defender there to clean things up)

For example if the attacker is at the edge of the penalty area with his back toward a goal and he gets clipped.
Well that is a foul in the penalty area but I wouldnt give a pk as it wasnt a goal scoring opportunity yet

I have had this conversation before with others, and I seem to be in the minority on this one.
Whatev....

Seems like England and Belgium are pretty good at it too.

Imagine hockey players flopping? That would be a sight to see. His own teammates might cheap shot the dude

They should bring this guy back...

80's soccer....

OMG, this guy should be in jail, especially when he intentionally crushes a guy in the balls when they're both sliding towards each other

Once around the 1 minute mark, then again just before that

dude was fucked up

REALLY!?!?! You couldn't be more incorrect! Try the South Americans! Take a look at the extra time in the coppa America and compare it to the Euro cup and get back to me. Chile vs Paraguay 10 minutes stoppage, Brazil vs Chile 8 minutes stoppage. Virtually every game has 5 to 6 minutes of stoppage, because of all the diving and faking!

Damsgaard should have flopped in the box at the 9 minute mark when he was bodychecked by Walker! Way more force/contact and it took away a scoring chance than that Belgium pk! It doesn't look good. FIFA one of the most corrupt governing body in sports. Shades of 66 in the making, were the English were awarded the championship on their home soil! Seven minutes stoppage at the end of the game when the Danes were looking tired, a phantom pk in extra time! Total BS.

in Europe, yeah, but Portugal aint too far behind. Once the 80th minute hit Vs Belgium it was a disgraceful scene by the Italians, was puzzling as they were clearly the better team. I just dont get it, again, i think its cultural

I know, was thinking the same thing about extra time. They said +6, then let them play until + 6.57 until England lost possession. The entire 57 seconds England was on the offensive, was wondering WTF is the ref doing

Yeah and Sterling ruining the integrity of the game is pure class! Look at big guys like Maguire and Kane, a slight breeze and they're on the ground, all six foot four 218 pounds!! Anyhow you are wrong and here are the numbers to prove it. I left out the quarterfinal game (Eng 8 minutes stoppage Italy 9) because of the Spinazzola torn achilles which added seven minutes of stoppage. Now for the rest of the tourney Italy 5 matches 32 minutes of stoppage England 5 matches 40 minutes of stoppage. So who does more diving again!?!?
