If people realise that nobody knows the outcome of an event then maybe they would concentrate on the more important thing, the odds. One thing that really bugs me in these Forums is posters talking about public money, squares and sharps, as if they are in the know.
I have known squares, losing players as I would call them hit 20+ winners on the trot and I have known some of the sharpest gamblers in London go on a losing streak that almost broke them.
Its all in the odds and everyone, public , squares and sharps will be on both sides of a 2 horse race for different reasons. Tonight I laid Germany because I thought the price should have been bigger. I also laid Holland for the same reasons and lost.
When I have a bet I always ask myself, if this loses, will I feel I have been mugged. If the answer is yes, then I dont bet it. The biggest part of betting is being happy with your losers.
