Doris Burke is far more informative than the condescending persona known as "Barman". Not that she is great or informative but at least is respectful of others,

You got me....Now everyone knows why I came in second when ESPN was deciding between Doris and me for that open sports analyst slot.

good to see ya, GD

Would not say that. Barman, and i'm sure other 95% of basketball posters here know far more than Doris Burke in terms of knowledge of the game. She routinely makes off the wall ridiculous comments when announcing games. Not only that, she didn't even play or coach basketball at all. Why in the world does she have a job as a color analyst? :ohno::ohno::ohno:

Because in tryouts she asked the other announcer if he was on Facebook.
You asked him if he was on medical marijuana. That's why they chose Doris.

I am in the minority here, I think Burke is an outstanding commentator.
She is always well prepared, knows her shit, at least she played the game (Providence player of the year back in the day), what did Brent do in school in Chicago? handicap horses?

I like her broadcasting style, but that's just me.

Burke actually does have a feel for the game. She provides "the fingernails on the chalkboard" comments consistently. Obviously, she was not hired for her good looks or sex appeal. Overall, the women should stick to the girl's games and confine the trailblazing for the female cause, to their actual backgrounds and "expertise.

went to this game last night, was sitting in the 4th row or so - good times giving all the Blazers' fans shit. It's tough though, they didn't really seem to be in into the game... Aldridge had a nice dunk at one point and my section is up on their feet all pleased with the 20pt beatdown they're experiencing so I just turn around, beer in hand and give 'em a "Scoreboard."

Burke doesn't bother. Holly Rowe and Heather Cox, granted they are sideline reporters, but they are awful.

If you do a Google search on Doris Burke, you'll see that people
are bitching about her all over the internet forums.

I have to put it on mute, she's awful.

You don't like Burke, because like most female broadcasters she tries way to hard.

Holly Rowe can't even ask 2 questions without screwing of them up.

Heather Cox recycles every question, everytime.

"Tony, you guys had a lot of enegy tonight, How did you do it"

"Go Enjoy the win" Heather do they need your permission?

I can't believe ESPN can't find someone better to commentate the NBA playoffs.

i'm one of the few who actually like her
its easy for everyone to get on her case cause shes a pretty woman
shes actaully very informative ...knows the game ..n has a great feel for the game..
imet her at a korean restaurant not too long ago and she was very pleasant..we chatted a bit ..n although she has to be objective ..she really thinks dallas will win it all this year...i was almost temted to ask her out...shes very attractive up close and in real life..i was genuinely amazed..classy and in my humble opinion..i can see why they hired her
