Karma. Should of waited a second before sticking that microphone in a good mans face like Richard Sherman and trying to make him look bad. LOL
I can't believe how calloused and desensitized some of you are.

For the record I was making a joke. I do think she should get a truck load of cash. However, I am a huge fan of her video

At the risk of being a total asshole here, does nobody else here question the fact that her emotions are at this level all these years later? I don't know guys. And why hasn't she just let this whole thing go? For one I thought she succeeded at getting just about all of this out of cyberspace (not 100% but as I recall it soon after was tough to find)and she has been all over tv smiling and hosting, talk shows galore etc. and making a ton of $$$$. BTW, exactly what is a hotel's accountability in all of this? Should they have had a guard posted on that floor because the Great Erin Andrews was staying the night? What does this say about Erin if she wants millions from a hotel chain who was not guilty of anything as far as I'm concerned. Someone else has to pay for this because some dopey perv was trying to pull off some highschool prank?

I'm not saying you're a total asshole, but you are very naive. People have wounds, just because they are able to smile and laugh does not undo the pain underneath the surface and the baggage that she will carry for the rest of her life. It had to very traumatic for her.....she was completely violated. And it wasn't a high school prank, it was a serious felony that will forever be on the internet for people to look at. She will never be completely free from it, and the hotel is at fault for some of it. If some fucking perv wants to request a room next to someone they don't know, you don't grant that request. I don't have any idea how much this quantifies to, but I don't blame her at all for suing the hotel. 75 mil? I dunno about that. But I hope she gets a lot.

ILLini, I don't know that I am naive...maybe totally wrong but not naive. My point is that I question her 'wounds' at this stage. She did a fantastic job in compartmentalizing all of that 'hurt' for 4 years. I suppose it is possible that she never had a conversation or gave any thought to it except when she was meeting with lawyers to discuss this matter. Then I suppose the tears would flow like that perhaps if totally supressed for so long.
BTW, the hotel is supposed to spot this guy as being a perv while he checks in? I think hotels would grant this type of request generally speaking, good PR and all of that. You have the benefit of hindsight, the hotel staff did not and what tipped them off that this felony was about to occur? I used to love Erin Andrews but after all of this I don't know waht to make of her. And also, if I remember correctly, 4 days after all of this, all of those links that led to the video of her in her room naked had gone dead, to include this website if not mistaken. True, many downloaded and saved and I 'm sure it can be found but someone did a good job back then at getting rid of it or pretty close to erasing it from the internet.

Ya, well then I'll just say you are wrong. It's equvalent to sexual abuse. Just a complete violation. I don't know if you know anyone that has been abused, but it's something they live with the rest of their lives. The fact that she knows that there are guys all over the world jacking off to her has got to be devastating. I've seen interviews with porn stars that consented to that shit and it still affected them after the stardom and money faded away and they got their senses back.

Erasing from the internet is like saying a tout hits 80% and it's all documented

The guy that made the video needs to be tortured. She is hurt by this and he is scum. The hotel should be sued, they goofed big time.

If someone offered her 75M before hand to post a video like that, does she do it?

OK I'm probably late to the party on this......But, didn't the hotel tell the guy she was staying there, then put him close to her because he asked??
I may be wrong about this but if this is the case she is going to score big time.

Eh she was already a well known name when this happened and was trending upward. I seriously doubt this was setup.

She was well known with the 18-34 college football & basketball fan demographic. (this article points out that people didn't take her seriously)

Since this happened she got DWTS, the NFL, and about 6 big endorsement deals. She is, at a minimum, making $2 million dollars more per year than she was prior to the incident. There really isn't much of a comparison.

And this is why she's so hurt. This will always be a part of her life, and she deserves every penny she gets.

How big of a feminist are you? She doesn't deserve shit. So what, some guy saw her naked. Join the club. Who cares. She deserves a bill for taking this to court.

Dude, ur a clown
Yes it's ok for a guy to film someone naked without them knowing and post it online after trying to sell it to tmz and other junk like that.

no, the 'hotel' nor the owners of the hotel told anyone anything... it was the dumbass that answered the phone, but alas that dumbass doesn't have any money. so because the owners of the hotel didn't have it written down in the employee handbook to not give out room numbers or to give rooms to creepy guys that want a room next to a celebrity the hotels owners are going to pay for this young ladies pain and suffering.

morale of the story, spend a lot of money on lawyers to write your employee handbook to cover your ass in cases of employee stupidity.

It won't be the last time an employee screwed an employer.
Thats too bad but I thought it was pretty much common knowledge that guests of your hotel stay anonymous to everyone except the hotel.
Cetainly every training Marriott gives preaches this.
