I like all of your selections but I am wondering why you made Newcastle such a large wager away at Man City. What's the reason?

I see a low scoring affair and the value, quite frankly, is with Newcastle. Even with home field advantage going with City I see this pretty close to a toss up and so I made a small play on the ML + 255 and took the + .25 in this match up. I don't see City scoring, the have scored a goal a game so far this year, for them that is unbelieveable, but that CANNOT last and I predict it ends tomorrow. Who will score for them ? City are a very solid, steady team, lead by Eriksson and will have a nice year finishing in mid table, just missing out on a UEFA spot, but as I said they are beatable and I think Newcastle will do the job tomorrow.

Newcastle on the other hand, though having started reasonably well, are ready to break out and go on a nice run. I think starting with a road win against a beatable City team that has played above their abilities to date. I really think that with Allardyce in place, Newcastle, with or without Owen are a perennial top 6 team and will play in Europe next year. Despite their injuries Newcastle have some very skillful players and a legitimate goal scorer up front in Mark Viduka. N'Zogbia, Milner, Martins and Smith are big time players and have the ability to win a match with a moment of brilliance.

Just FYI

I took a small wager on Viduka first/last goal at + 800.

I agree that with Big Sam at the helm Newcastle should do better but the Magpies have several injury concerns. Also, Viduka is not 100%.

Man City have a few problems of their own but they have been very strong at home in the Premiership (sorry, Premier League). My only concern about Man City is that they are likely to go with a 4-5-1 so you may be right. A low scoring affair might be on the cards. Perhaps the UNDER is the way to go. A 1-1 final seems quite possible.

Good Luck

Newcastle deserve to be in the lead. Playing some decent stuff. Good luck with the bet.

Fucking hell. The 10 minutes I saw before the Newcastle goal, I thought they were playing decent. Then they just got massacred by Man City playing some very good stuff. Elano and Petrov were amazing.

I don't like Alan Smith in central midfield with Butt and Geremi. Not enough creativity. They just need to keep feeding the ball to Viduka and get it wide to Milner or N'Zogbia.

Very impressed by City. You reckon they can make the Top 6? If they get a a really good striker, and keep playing well. I reckon they could be challenging Top 4 next season.

If they get a Michael Owen type striker, then yes.
