I just have a quick legitimate question, when is someone desperate in quick need of gun? I mean I would think if you were desperate and in quick need for a gun, you would already have one. I consider quick need is when someone is shooting at you or trying to rob you, which in those cases you don't have time to go out and buy one. People who are going to use guns as protection probably already have it.

If the goal of gun control is to prevent deaths from happening, then suggesting stabbing deaths are "irrelevant" is completely absurd. Why are stabbing deaths somehow acceptable while shooting someone isn't? You can't have it both ways if your premise is preventing murder.

Elliott Rodger killed three people with a gun and three with a knife (and also ran someone else over with his car IIRC). Last time I checked, 3 = 3. In other words, an equal amount of damage was done.
