Glad to hear everything worked out Willie.

FWIW, I asked a tax/retirement account question to the board one time and Willie went out of his way to send a couple of private messages to answer my question. Very generous of him to part freely with his time and advice.

Glad you are doing well. Some people get a warning and others don't, you are very fortunate. Take advantage of this wake up call.

Some scary shit my friends, although I didn't really have much time to worry about it all.

A complete shock to everyone. I have low cholesterol, no sugar, great blood pressure, passed every heart test with and hint of a blockage. During this process, I even had two separate ultra sounds of my heart and both concluded I have an amazingly strong heart muscle.

after the process, I asked my doctor how can you learn about a blockage like mine ahead on time, he said you can't.

can't change your DNA, hope all turns out well.

Thank God Willis, glad to hear you're doing all right. I'll bet you feel like a million bucks once this is over.

Thanks for the reminder. It's time for my echocardiogram that I get once every 5 years.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Willie. I went through bypass surgery 12 years ago when I was 45. Scary is an understatement. I got checked out every year since 38 because we have a bad family history. I would advise anyone with family history or if you think there is a possibility of something to go in. I would have had the big one eventually. Take it easy the first few weeks Willie and after that you will be able to roll. Best of luck in your recovery.

I had an Angioplasty procedure on 4-29 2011. Symptoms you mention were part of what I went thru everything, except you didn't say you felt any pressure on your chest when when you laid down for sleep. If I had not read a book where it was said that this was a sign of the Big One I probably would not be typing now....... Fortunate for me I live above my Uncle and I got downstairs and he called 911 and I was taken to hospital ER and was told if 911 was not used then I would not be breathing! When I got to ER, some tests then I remember going down a long cold hallway and my Uncle asking the Dr. if he was Board Certified? No clue what he meant?? I went into an area with monitors on my left laying on a table looking at was happening and then I wake up in a hospital room. I had a couple stents inserted thru my right groin. I believe you will from knowing you from your posts here but not knowing you will do what I didn't do. Follow the Diet and Rehab that is prescribed by your cardiologist forever if you don't, change your label to Dr. Willie..........

BTW I have a Tax Situation that is non-gambling re-lated that I need advise with. I am not in the Legal Profession and have been following advise from my Uncle who worked with a Law Firm in Hawaii (he's in Hawaii now and is 82 yrs old) for over 30 yrs on this IRS situation that needs to be exposed. As my Uncle has said:"These people are a small group in the Network" that is operating in the USA and growing. I have to file a extension because of this and am not after 8yrs with my Uncle 4 yrs with this employer leaving and going anywhere until these people are exposed.

Listen to your Dr.'s............... Willie

Reminds me of the joke about the Doctor who tells the guy after suffering a heart attack that he can live 20 more years if he cuts back the drinking, smoking, red meat and hookers....guy looks back at the doc and says "Why the hell would I wanna live 20 years like that?"

Hope all is well Willie..age is the ultimate purveyor of humility. May your recovery be swift and your will be strong.

Willie,
I'm glad to hear you got through the procedure and are recovering. My father had the same thing happen (was being given a stress test and was immediately rushed into quad-bypass surgery) so I know it is scary. But, you will be back to a more active routine soon. Just watch what you eat and stay active.

God bless.
