If you haven't used GB, that would be my pick. Normally I stay away from hotly contested division games though.

Love the Saints this week even though its a division game which i try to avoid. IMO there is no way they lose at home after that embarassing loss and Tampa off that huge win.

I'm really starting to agree with you here. It is divisional, but their schedule gets pretty tough after this weekend. I say they at least "WIN" this weekend. This might be a dumb question but do you think the Packers have much better "future value" compared to the Saints? (Because I definitely think I'd rather have GB left in my pocket instead of New Orleans...take a look at both their schedules)

New Orleans is night and day between home and away, GB not as much. Surprised you have both teams, I already used both.

I officially agree with "bmore" on this one..I think. lol. This is a no-brainer right? It is a divisional game, BUT..if you are going to use the Saints, use them this weekend against Tampa Bay? If I do that I can hold on to Green Bay and might have to use them as road favorite sometime soon..But look at the Saints schedule:

5 ****vs Tamba Bay****
6 BYE WEEK
7 @Detroit
8 vs GB
9 @Carolina
10 vs San Francisco
11 vs Cincinnati
12 vs Baltimore
13 @ Pittsburgh
12 vs Carolina
13 @ Pittsburgh
14 vs Carolina
15 @Chicago
16 vs Atlanta
17 @Tamba Bay

I'm considering NYG.... maybe DAL. Agree that this is the only week, as it appears at the moment, to take NWO. But it's a divisional game and NWO has not looked good this year.

My tally so far:
Week 1: NYJ
Week 2: GB
Week 3: NE
Week 4: IND
Week 5: ...NYG?

I do "like" it. I don't "love" it. But you gotta take some chances to win these things. I'd like to see 1 more game outta the Giants but I actually do plan to play Giants minus the points as "small" play this weekend. It'd be a nice team to use if it works out.

I figure ATL has too many injuries. C, RT, LT, SS all went down last week. They lost the 4th Q to MIN 14-0 without those guys and lost by 13. And with their division they can probably afford to lose this week and still be in 1st place (2-0 vs DIV). NYG are healthy and looking up at two 3-1 teams they need to keep pace with.

Dont trust NO, they had trouble with Minny at home before the Dallas debacle. NYG isnt a bad pick, ATL has lots of injuries. One other team I am looking at is Detroit, Orton has never done too much in this leage

Detroit is probably my pick - used GB, Pitt, NO and SD already. I don't save teams.

NO is at home. I would never trust them on the road but at home they win, and being a divisional game they will pull out everything they can. I think they beat Tampa by DDs. Payton has stressed they need to get back to playing football like they know they can. I dont think they make the playoffs this year and I know they wont win every home game but Im sure they will make this game count. I already used them against Minnesota so I wouldnt have to stress over them being inconsistent.

NO is definitely the play this week.

New Orleans remaining home games: Green Bay, San Fran, Bengals, Ravens, Carolina, Atlanta

This is far and away the best week to play them.

Does anyone think I should worry about San Diego beating the jets? Something is making me uneasy. But Detroit worries me too. I won't take Philly and can't take Denver or new Orleans. What do you think?

T-boy Im in the same boat. I have SF as my pick at the moment, but I used NO, NE, GB, and PIT already. I need a guarantee. I thought about Giants but Im feeling uneasy. A.Smith could unload on his former team but KC has Chargers on deck so this game could be a look ahead? Seattle on the road scares me. Detroit is playing Buffalo but the whole Jim Schwartz thing scares me. I dont know what to do.

Anybody still alive? Again I'm in a 58 man league with 1 re-buy. Here are my picks in order for the first 5 weeks (barely escaped with the Saints on Sunday!):
1)Jets
2)Redskins
3)Patriots
4)Cowboys
5)Saints

I really would appreciate any help/leans. I believe there's 30 people left BUT...out of the original 58, only 10 people are 5-0 with no re-buys including myself...This week looks really tricky. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but even playing the Chargers to win against Oakland doesn't feel "great" for some reason..Any tips?

I thought about getting gutsy and playing Houston on Thursday night..but I think I should just play to "survive." Is this the week to play San Diego? I don't wanna look to far ahead..I could be knocked at this league much earlier than I'd like to be..but I think I'm in good shape right now. Here's San Diego's upcoming schedule (next 3 weeks are division games!!?!):

week 6: @ Oakland
week 7: vs Kansas City
week 8: @ Denver
week 9: @ Miami
week 10: BYE WEEK
week 11: vs Oakland
week 12: vs St. Louis
etc
etc
etc
etc
