It will spread. The world is a smaller place these days. I would recommend focusing on the cure or a vaccine.

You seem to be ignoring my point. Of course it will spread, but it's lunacy to not do all that is possible to limit the spread. The US has failed in its preparation for this. That's a federal problem, a state problem, a local problem and a hospital level problem. Many down here see it as an Obama problem. I do not. It has been a failure at each and every level.

Unless there is a worldwide travel ban to West Africa, there is really nothing the US or any single nation can do on it's own. At least in my warped opinion.

I am not suggesting you can prevent it from arriving. I am saying you can prepare medical professionals to treat the virus. You can take precautions to limit Ebola's spread. That is where the failure is troubling.

An inability to prevent Ebola arriving does not excuse an inept response to its arrival.

Can't argue with that. But I can argue with the concept that this all a plot by our President to bring down America or infect children.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal on Friday called on the Obama administration to impose a travel ban on flights to the U.S. from countries with Ebola outbreaks.

“We should stop accepting flights from countries that are Ebola stricken,” the Republican governor said in a statement.

CRAZY PERSON AT CNN: ‘HOW DARE WE’ CUT OFF FLIGHTS FROM LIBERIA WHEN AMERICAN SLAVERY CREATED THE COUNTRY!

Wow it sure didn’t take long for some nutty liberal to start crying racism about Ebola. David Quammen says we have a responsibility to allow Ebola-stricken visitors from Liberia into the United States because the country was created by our slave trade.

No really he said this.

From National Review who caught the interview
:
“We in America, how dare we turn our backs on Liberia, given the fact that this is a country that was founded in the 1820s, 1830s because of American slavery?” he told Cooper. “We have a responsibility to stay connected with them, and help them see this through.”

Beginning in 1820, thousands of freed African-American slaves colonized a patch of western Africa with the help of prominent American abolitionists. They named that nation ”Liberia,” modeling their flag and political institutions after the United States.

America is always targeted as the greatest sinner in the slave trade, but most critics purposely ignore the role of other countries including non-European nations.

And how is it better for us to expose ourselves to a dangerous virus instead of containing it?

Oops, that’s probably racist.

If what I am reading is correct and the US has the only reported cases outside of West Africa, then yeah something is fucked up.

Right now there's about 3,000 troops building health care facilities in West Africa.

How many people have other countries sent and exposed to this severe threat?

What happens when those Americans come home?

[h=1]Everyone Has Ebola Now[/h]By Lex October 03, 2014 @ 1:02 PM

Ebola-Workers.jpg

I’ve been to Dallas. It’s a good town. It’s too bad it’s now been overrun with Ebola. Mostly just the schools and apartments. Maybe also Washington DC, albeit some people might rejoice the loss of that swamp to hot zone cleansing nuke. Someday, the survivors among us living in the wastelands will talk wistfully of how life used to be before we started importing Ebola into the U.S. and showing charts how it can’t possibly spread as fast as the other communicable diseases we’ve re-introduced into our nation for bloody shits and giggles.
I hate politics. I mean, the practice of politics. But this governor saying maybe we shouldn’t let people fly from Ebola Central to the U.S. sort of makes sense. People will cry overreaction. I’ll shove some Ebola in their mouths to shut them the fuck up.

don't worry, the least prepared man in the room told us there's no risk of Ebola coming to America

and ISIS is a JV Team

and Iraq may be his greatest success

and you can keep you doctor (i don't even want to start with the nightmares I know about 1st hand. Those with a clue already know the truth, while scum and vile lying POS's will never know)

and our healthcare services will improve

our deficit will be cut in half

unemployment will stay below 7%

our economy will grow

we will regain international respect

yada yada yada

It never gets old, does it. :)

no Dave, it doesn't.

it's so damn true, it's so damn ugly, it's literally too damn funny. Our president is an international laughing stock.

he truly is "the least prepared man in the room". That's not in jest, that's reality

Judge my friend, my problem with Obama is not the fact that Ebola has reached our shores. It's the fact that he said Ebola won't reach our shores. Just like ISIS is a JV team, you can keep your doctor, I'm going to change the culture in DC...........................................

he's just a fucking idiot, said in the most respectful way possible.

Peace bro, have a wonderful and prosperous weekend
